Awesome day! Highlight was GCh. Beratis scoring his 6th SW in the G1 King George VI Chase. Not sure what’s in our water this year, but we went from years of trying to get a horse qualified, to getting Local Haunt qualified back in January and we have 4 others just needing 1 final SW of any grade (and only one is older than dirt, so at least 3 have a reasonable shot!).

GCh. Royal Sacred One (6yo, Tottenham Hotspur) 13th in the Arlington Handicap (Gr. 3) - After giving it some thought, I decided to reluctantly retire this old boy. He hasn’t won a race out of the last 6 starts and was about to cost me more money than he earned this year if I decided to try running him again. He was too far away from stud qualification to keep hoping he’d pick back up at this age. Sad to see him go. He was one of the first horses I ever managed to not only get to the GCh. level but also reach multi-millionaire status, too. We bought him for $1,000 back in July of 2022. In 13 starts with us, he earned $2,051,000, winning the G1 Turf Classic Invitational and G3 Valid Wager Breeders’ Stakes and placing 2nd in the G1 Breeders’ Cup Turf and G1 Omaha Breeders’ Stakes in 2022. He also won the G1 Arlington Million and set a speed record on 5.5f turf in 2023. Happy retirement, old boy, and thanks for all your hard work!
