Racing How'd You Do?

Most horses were disappointing, but there are some highlights. On the other hand, more than a half of our racing herd this year are 2yo fillies… than a few 3yo’s and two 5yo’s. So what to expect.

First of all, 3yo [color=blue]My Toni’s Pride finished 2nd/10 in Gr. 2 Bowling Green Handicap, only half a length behind millionaire GCh. Hogsmeade. It was his first stakes entry. Would be nice to studify this Smart Strike colt! Too bad that he never ran on the flat.

3yo [color=red]Tizzy Fit was 3rd/7 in a NW2 on dirt, while she prefers turf and she never won a race. So I’m quite happy about that.

2yo [color=red]Lointaine finished 3rd/11 in a NW3 against the boys, while her stablemate [color=red]Vanagloria was 7th in this race. Both fillies are still maiden, and it was the first race for Vanagloria.

2yo [color=red]La Rioja was 6th/9 in a NW3, while [color=red]La Bella Durmiente was 8th in this race.

2yo [color=green]Me Quedo was 7th/13 in a NW2.

Two more Starfish horses topped the $1m mark in earnings for this year, making them the 17th & 18th Starfish horses to reach this milestone this year.

Wins
[color=blue]Ch. Mobile Emitter, (4yo, A.P. Indy x Mantlepiece) in the G1 Eddie Read Handicap at Del Mar. His 3rd SW and 1st G1W since he joined our Stable.
[color=red]N.Ch. Sand Dune, (4yo, Giant’s Causeway x Dayatthebeach) in the G1 Yorkshire Oaks in England. Her 3rd consecutive SW and 4th win overall this year (all SW, including 2 G1W). This put her earnings for this year over the $1m mark.
[color=blue]G.Ch. Hogsmeade, (4yo, Highland Magic x Blarneystone Lane) in the G2 Bowling Green Handicap at Belmont. His 4th SW this year, he has joined his half-brother [color=blue]N.Ch. Hogwarts as Stud-Qualified for next year.
[color=blue]N.Ch. Hogwarts, (5yo, Magic Glory x Blarneystone Lane) in the G2 San Diego Handicap at Del Mar. Not to be out done by his younger half-brother [color=blue]G.Ch. Hogsmeade, this is the 2nd time this year that both of them have won on the same day. His 5th SW this year, this put his earnings for this year over the $1m mark.
[color=blue]G.Ch. Venture His Due, (4yo, Devil His Due x Risky Venture) in the G2 Sparkford Chase in England. His 2nd consecutive SW and third win overall this year (all SW), he earned his GCh title with this win. He now needs only one more SW plus an additional SP to become Stud-Qualified.
[color=red]Ch. Im Not Innocent, (3yo, Secretary x Lost Innocence) in the Ung Round Table Stakes at Arlington.

hoorah! [color=blue]NCh. Crafty Magic earned his new title and became STUD QUALIFIED by winning the Gr. 2. Swettenham Stud Stakes  ;D yay! That’ll save me some shipping fees next breeding season. Ahh Australia…
