7/18

Yay!

3yo [color=blue]Blue Crown won his first start! I bought him just recently at the Annual Mixed Auction and he was definitely worth the $1,000 that I paid for him… as now he won $21,000.

3yo lightly raced [color=red]Adventure was 2nd/8 and she keeps improving.

Sadly, the rest was not so impressive.

Quite a good day, four out of five in the top two with only the previously unraced 2yo off the board.

[color=red]Far Away (3yo Chivalry) finally broke her maiden in her NW1. She’d been 2nd or 3rd in her seven previous races so this win was well deserved.

[color=blue]Knights Victory (3yo V is for Victory) won his OA. He’s been first or second in his last three starts and finally seems to be getting the hang of things.

[color=red]Romance N Honour (5yo Alley Cat) won her OA. Won three of her five starts this year, second in one other.

[color=red]Bureaucracy was 2nd her NW2. Another that’s been consistently first or second this year.

I guess all my horses were watching the pants ripping mare lol

[color=red]Hedwig was our only notable entry that, coming in at 3rd in her OA.  I’ve noticed she doesn’t like mud, so I’m just happy she tried.

Our other three came in 8th, 11th, and 12 :astonished:

6 of 14 hit the board.

WINS
Highlight of the day was homebred [color=blue]King’s Legion (3yo, Long Live the King) winning the G2 Dwyer Stakes.
[color=red]Last Burn (4yo, Turn n’Burn) in her NW1 by a whopping 7 lengths.

2NDs
[color=red]Honeybird (3yo, Joyeux Oiseau) in her NW2.
[color=blue]Necropolis (3yo, The fighting Fifty) in his NW2.

A pair of 4th’s and the rest also-rans.

25(17)-5(2)-7(5)-5(3)-3(3) $1,343,800

A good day with 20 out of our 25 runners finishing on-the-board. Highlights included 2 more G1W and another 2YO win. Of special note was the G1 International Stakes. Not only did we own the 1st, 2nd & 4th home (with the 4th placed horse only a neck behind the 3rd), but all three of our runners in that race were sired by one of our Resident Stallions, [color=blue]Tottenham Hotspur.

Hilda - Congratulations on [color=blue]Blue Crown’s win. He was on our short list for the Annual Mixed Auction, however, we had him ranked lower than some other horses and, by the time Shanthi increased the limit of how many horses we could get at the Auction, you had already snagged him. Anyway, good luck with him (unless, of course, he is running against Starfish horses!!! ;D)

Thanks Lewis, I got really lucky with him! I hope he continues like this.
