Today we decided to retire a personal favorite, GCh. Marchioness, to the broodmare band. We picked her up for 5k as a yearling and she has since earned us just over $3 million. In her career, she won the G1 BC Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf, G2 Moonee Valley Gold Cup, G2 Sandown Classic, and placed in several G1’s including the Dubai Sheema Classic, Coronation Stakes, Irish Derby, and a return to the BC Breeders’ Cup Filly & Mare Turf. She had won 2 of 3 races this year, but injured herself last month, was sent home, returned to training, and promptly bowed a tendon. Fingers crossed she passes on her talent to her foals!
