7/11

Decent day, ignoring half the stakes ponies.

28(8)-5-3-5(1)-2(2) $145,150

WINS:
[color=blue]Katanga (2yo, Dark Continent) in a NW1, breaking his maiden.
[color=red]Titillating (2yo, Long Live The King) in a NW2. She’s 3 for 3 so far. :slight_smile:
[color=red]Beacon of Light (3yo, Highland Wizard) in a NW2, breaking her maiden. Nice reward for switching her to jumps out of frustration! :wink:
[color=blue]Baralin (2yo, Ring of Fire) in a NW3, breaking his maiden.
[color=blue]Sea Shanty (3yo, Highland Bandit) in a NW3.

PLACES:
[color=red]Eternal Flame (3yo, Magic Glory) in a NW1.
[color=blue]Regalo (3yo, Ring of Fire) in a NW3.
[color=blue]Radical (3yo, Tottenham Hotspur) in a claimer, he stays home.

SHOWS:
[color=blue]Make 'Em Laugh (2yo, Gotta Go) in a NW1. His MSW big brother is in the mixed auction, by the way. :wink:
[color=blue]Brightsideoflife (3yo, Holy Bull) in a NW1.
[color=red]Imp (3yo, A.P. Indy) in an OA.
[color=blue]Juvenal (2yo, Express Yourself) in an OA.
[color=red]Radiant Crown (2yo, Ring of Fire) in the Del Mar Debutante. No longer undefeated, but a nice finish nonetheless.

FOURTHS:
[color=blue]Pity the Fool (2yo, I’m No Fool) in the Del Mar Futurity. Perhaps a bit much to ask for his second start, but he did well.
[color=red]Pillow Talk (4yo, Slew O’Scots) in the Diana Handicap.

We also claimed [color=red]Forever Wonder, 2yo filly by Prince of Wonder out of Forever Gone. She only managed 5th today, but she’s half-sister to MSW She’s Outlawed and SP Love Never Dies, so should have potential.

Ironically only the non-2yo flunked.

4(2)-1-2(1)-0-0

WINS
[color=red]Hot Chili Feathers (2yo, Stressed) in her NW2.

2ND
[color=red]Rosette (2yo, What’s Your Point) in the G2 Del Mar Debutante – first 2yo SP of the year!
[color=red]Exclusively (2yo, Uninspired) in her Maiden.

20(16)-4(3)-3(2)-4(4)-1(1) $830,500
Highlights of the day were 3 more G1W and one more 2yo Winner (our 2nd 2yo SW and 1st 2yo G1W for this year). The girls definitely outshone the boys with only 2 of our boys finishing in the top 4 today.

Wins
[color=blue]Spirit in the Sky, (2yo, Lasting Spirit) in the G1 Del Mar Futurity. His first SW/G1W, he is unbeaten in his 3 starts.
[color=red]G.Ch. Magic Spitfire, (4yo, Magic Glory) in the G1 Go For Wand Stakes. Her 5th win in 8 starts this year, all SW, including 1 G1W.
[color=red]Ch. Calla Lily (Leased from Ivy Creek), (3yo, Candidate) in the G1 Coronation Stakes, leading a Starfish 1-2-3 in this race.
[color=red]London Gala (Leased from Ivy Creek), (3yo, Dark Demand) in an NW2.

Seconds
[color=red]Ch. Making A Statement, (3yo, What’s Debatable) in the G1 Diana Handicap. A winner of her last 4 races, she failed by 1/4 length to make it 5-in-a-row.
[color=red]Ch. Cheeky Monkey, (3yo, Black Warrior) in the G1 Coronation Stakes.
[color=blue]Flying Topaz, (3yo, Major’s Flight) in an NW2, beaten a Neck by his stable-companion [color=red]London Gala.

Thirds
[color=red]Ch. Flaming Text, (3yo, Golden Text) in the G1 Test Stakes.
[color=red]Ch. Dior, (4yo, Spock) in the G1 Diana Handicap.
[color=red]G.Ch. Sargasso, (4yo, Spock) in the G1 Go For Wand Stakes.
[color=red]Ch. Missed Connection, (3yo, Major’s Flight) in the G1 Coronation Stakes.

Fourths
[color=red]Larkspur (Leased from Ivy Creek), (3yo, Dark Continent) in the G1 Test Stakes.

No wins, but some nice results.

Or rather, one win - [color=blue]That’s My Wonder leased from Markos, in his NW1.

[color=green]Probability finished 2nd/6 in a steeplechase.

[color=blue]GCh. Space Chips was 3rd/14 in the Poker Handicap.

[color=red]Malavida was 3rd/6 in a NW1. Still a maiden after 14 races, but she runs much better than last year, when she never earned any money :stuck_out_tongue:

Homebred [color=red]Chucheria was 3rd/14 in a maiden for fillies, in which [color=red]Monarch Butterfly was 6th/14. And two maiden colts were off the board.

Congrats, Shelbie!

Good luck! We used to own She’s Outlawed so I was thinking of claiming this filly, but then I resisted as I sold the other one finally…

Now waiting on the Mixed Auction… one of my picks is getting expensive! ???

Not a bad day

[color=blue]Cider House Rules went in to his race tired (oops!) And was dead last. He’s going home for a short while and we’ll try again later.

[color=blue]Bold Day got a great 2nd in a maiden!  He still hasn’t broken it, but we will make it happen eventually.
