6/14

Better day for us. 8 out, only one out of the money.

Places:
[color=red]Calanais (Cross Roads) in the Statue of Liberty.

[color=red]A Capella (What’s Debatable) in an OA.

Shows:
[color=red]Clairvoyant (2yo, Holy Bull) in a NW2.

[color=blue]Magician’s Wand (Point Given) in a NW2.

Fourth:
[color=red]Brightest Light (Akhetnaten) in the Statue of Liberty.

Clicker Lab had some mixed results yesterday, but nothing too surprising.

First of all, our 2yo colt [color=blue]Gold Tic is developing very well, as now he finished 1st/14 with the rest of the pack far behind him. We’re not throwing him in stakes races yet, but his career is promising.
Another nice result was from our recent 2yo claimer, [color=red]Belle of Portugal. She finished 2nd/11 on dirt in her NW1. Great to see this after her disappointing performance in that claimer.
[color=red]Lacune finished 3rd/10 in a steeplechase, again on wet track, but longer distance than last time. Another muddy steeplechase run was in Woodbine, where [color=red]Jorghinia finished 5th/14.
[color=red]Alchaasibiyeh, our Alley Cat steeplechaser, finished 5th/10 too but in Belmont.
[color=red]
GCh. The Woman In Black
made her steeplechase debut. She’s our best racehorse so far, and she loved jumping trials. Her result is 3rd/11 in Sea O’Erin Breeders’ Cup Handicap.

Two maiden 2yo’s raced for the first time, but it seems that it’s too early for them. They will both go back to pastures and maybe return to the track later in the year. [color=red]Gentle Charlotte was 7th/14 in 6 furlongs Maiden for 2yo F and [color=blue]Im Your Daddy was 10th/14 in 6 furlongs Maiden for 2yo.

Pretty good week in terms of money, less so in terms of consistency. Only about half our runners hit the board.

Dreams of Glory won her NW1.
Laird’s Own won her OA.
Ring of Smoke won her NW3.
Highlight of the day was when Black Cherry (High Chances) won the Gr. 2 Riva Ridge BC. It’s his first SW.

Joey the Giant was 2nd in his OA.

Maya was 3rd against the boys in her Gr. 2.
Forbidden City was 3rd in her Gr. 1.
Clarity of Night was 3rd in her Gr. 1.

An awesome day for us! Sent out 10 and 6 hit the top 3. The 2yo’s did especially well today, which is always a nice change!

2yo’s
[color=blue]Nindalf (Hope to Succeed) continues to bring home a check and ran 3rd/11 in his NW1. He has been a bit frustrating with his consistency, though: 5 starts with a 0-0-4-1 record, haha.
[color=red]Temple Maid (Worth My While) ran 2nd/10 in a NW2.
[color=blue]War Letters (Nightfight) won his NW3 in a field of 8.
R

So-so day, ponies either flopped or gave a good account of themselves. No winners but can’t be too disappointed as had some good stakes results.

[color=red]Golden Spirit (3yo Lasting Spirit) ran 2nd in her NW1, over 11.5f, the furthest she’s been so quite pleased with that.

[color=red]Club Liquid (4yo Highland Wizard) ran 3rd in her OA over fences.

[color=red]Redheaded Princess (2yo Boldness Shows) ran 5th in the Ascot Fillies Mile Grade 1. She’s been very consistent this year

[color=red]Peep Show (4yo Sneak Peek) gain a deserved first stakes placing, running 3rd in the Cambridgeshire Handicap Ungraded. She was one of the few of our runners to hold her form last year so really pleased with her performance

Also gaining a first stakes placing was [color=red]Kokoro No Kizu Ni (3yo Steal Your Heart), a filly we purchased as a lightly raced maiden earlier this year. Trying stakes company and 12f for the first time, she finished a decent second in the Grade 1 Irish Oaks

All brought home money, so I can’t be too disappointed.

[color=blue]Virginia Challenge ran in a 7.0f NW1 Allowance for 3yo+ (SC), placing 3/6. He has a serious case of the thirds.

[color=red]Hello Goodbye ran in a 12.0f Allowance for 3yo+ (SC). She surely, wasn’t talented on the flat, so we’re trying some jumps toward the end of her career. If this is a dead end for her too, she’ll be retired and hopefully make a good mommy. She placed 4/10 in her debut.

[color=blue]Gallant Affair ran in a 6.0f Gr. 2 Stakes for 4yo+ (D). He placed 5/10 in his first stakes race, which I am not disappointed with at all.

Weird day,Sent out 8 only 3 hit the board, a few I expected to be closer to the front just didn’t fire.

[color=red]Double Shot who we switched to SC ,won her O A and is now only 21 pts from grand.

[color=green]Franklin (3/G) by sneak peek won his NW-3 stable mate Golden Heist was 6th

[color=blue]Height of Darkness was second in an ungraded stakes race

[color=red]Magic CarpDet Ride who we switched to SC (trials said she loved it) still hasn’t run near the front, finished 9th.

Of course the 2yos were all over the place, sighs…

Two out with one win and one place. Hooray! So far this year, 32% of our entries have been winners, making it my best ever so far!

The lovely [color=red]Ch. King of Gondor won her stakes race, against what I thought were not great odds. Not only that, but she clocked in a speed figure of 205 (:o) and set a new speed record. She’s now going to be sticking to Gr. 1’s and Gr. 2’s while things are good, in hopes that we can knock her up to a GCh! Wish us luck.

Sent 5 out:

2YO [color=blue]Mimic (x I’m Your Angel) ran 6th in his maiden - he’s still having trouble figuring out how to sort through traffic and all, but he doesn’t finish dead last, so I’m just grateful for the consistant effort.

2YO [color=blue]Star of Lakshmi (x Octagonal) ran 5th in his open allowance, earning an incredible speed record of 126.  It appears that he liked this switch to turf.  I think this is super promising, and that makes me regret that he’s currently up for auction.  No bidders so far, though, so he may yet come home to us…  Surprisingly, he beat stablemate [color=blue]Laudri (x Point Given), who was 8th.  I thought for sure that these results would be opposite of this…

4YO [color=blue]Triomphe (x Magic Glory) had his second stakes win of the season, winning the G2 True North Breeder’s Cup.  After my inactivity last year (I only entered him in a single race, which he won), I feel like I have drastically stunted his career, so I am afraid to even hope for studship…  But I am incredibly excited to see what this boy has in store for us.  He earned his champion title today, though!

Congrats! You never know, I’ve got a mare winning stakes races at age 5, so he might get there.

Congratulations. Really hope she makes GCh for you. I bought her mom last year so I love seeing how she does

Exactly what Shanthi said never count them out.  FFCh. Foolhardy didn’t start really firing/winning stakes races until he was a 4/5yo and he made it to FFCh. so never give up on them

Really happy who our newest stakes winner is  although 1/2 our horses were on and half were off the board:

WINS

[color=red]She’s No Bull (Holy Bull) was sent out in the 8f Gr. 1 Ascot Fillies Mile for 2yo F with a bit of a hope and a prayer… she came back with her first stakes win in her first stakes start by a nose. Great thing is she’s GCh. Von Lichtenstein’s 1/2 sibling, so looking forward to even greater things from her in the future. I’m also really drooling over their 1/2 sibling yearling Wookiee (Nightfight) at this point… Look out tracks!
[color=red]Secsy Star (Rock of Gibraltar) was the winner of her 5f turf OA race for 2yo F

SHOWS

[color=blue]Actor’s Guild (TakeMeToHollywood) was third in the 7f Ungraded Northern Dancer Stakes for 3yos
[color=blue]Hotel California (TakeMeToHollywood) was third in his 6f turf OA for 2yos
[color=red]Roxy Roller (Bold Ruler) was third in the 8.5f Ungraded Statue of Liberty for 4yo+ F
