5/26

Not too bad! Sent out 7 and three hit the board, including a win from one of my 2yo’s!

Our only 2yo of the day, [color=red]Temple Maid (Worthy My While) won her NW1 over turf. Looks like she likes the wraps!
[color=blue]Red Dog won his NW2 by 2-1/2 lengths against a full field. He seems to like it long, no matter what the surface.
[color=green]French Riviera finished 3rd/6 in a NW3.

[color=blue]Field of Diamonds was 6th/11 and will be shortened up next time; [color=red]On Dove’s Wings needs more distance and finished 7th/14, [color=green]Spirit of Autumn was 7th/11 and has been sent home to rest, [color=blue]Rocket Smoke was 5th/14 and definitely needs a longer race.

Not. Uh on the prize money front but a few came home with a check, sent out 13 and 6 made some sort of money

No wins

Places
[color=red]Sheeza firework (chivalry) in An NW-2 for 2/f
[color=red]Pretty lil Angel in a long 11.5f allowance (she’s never run this distance she obviously liked it) also switched to Sc thanks to jump trials.

Shows
[color=blue]Set It Off (Nightfight) in an OA for 2yos,put him in a 6f race he seemed to like the longer distance.
[color=blue]LionHeart in the Ben cohen stakes

4th places
[color=red]Northern moon a leased filly in an NW-3 Sc

5th
[color=red]Breakthrough in the 3/f skipat stakes

The rest either had wet going and hates it or just didnt fire today. :frowning:

Only 4 out, but all brought home a paycheck.

[color=red]Arizona Dream (High Chances) found her way back to the winner’s circle in an OA.

[color=red]Airgead Draiocht (Highland Magic) was 2nd in the Edmun O’Brien Stakes.

Not my lucky day. I would expect the ponies to do a little better, especially one.

[color=blue]Ch. Smokin’ Star, after his impressive Grade 1 win, finished 4th/10 in a Grade 2 stakes, two furlongs shorter than his previous race. Maybe a traffic problem. Let’s hope that his next performance in England will be better.
The fillies ran better.

[color=red]Your Chant finished 2nd/11, in a race where her stable mate [color=red]Shadow In The Dark was 4th. It was an open allowance for 3yo fillies.
[color=red]Crownette ran in open allowance where two stallions also ran, and she was in front of them, but that was a 4th place in a field of 8 horses. This is her worst result so far, but highest speed figure.

We had a better day than we have been recently.  2yos are really doing well this year.

Wins:
Royal Bull (Holly Bull) broke his maiden on a third attempt.
Ring Of Gold (Ring Of Fire) did fabulously in his NW2.
Rahy’s Lady (Rahy) got her second win under her belt.
Lucky Danzig also got back in the winners circle after a bout of terdness.
Irish Star (Irish River) is really turning into one of my best 2yos with her fourth undefeated win.
Winning Secret got back in winning form in a full allowance race.

I wish I had better news to report for the day…  Sent out five:

3YO homebred [color=red]Lovespell (Magic Cross) ran 4th in her maiden…which is her best finish to date.  It appears to have been a bit too long for her tastes, as she broke second, and held that spot 'til the very end of her 13f race.  Perhaps we’ll have better luck next time.

2YO [color=red]Montalvo (Point Given) loves to finish 4th - she’s done it three times in her three lifetime starts.  Hey, at least she’s makin’ money!  I need to find her a turf race for next time - she’s only run on dirt, but with lots of different equipment.

4YO homebred [color=green]Notmyfirstrodeo finished 5th in his first stakes attempt - the ungraded Edmun O’Brien - after winning his first hurdle race last time out.  Not bad for a second attempt - and he racked up an impressive speed figure, to boot.  I’m hoping we can coach him on to a nice SC career.

The other two?  What other two?  It’s probably best to leave it at that.  :stuck_out_tongue:

Pretty nice week.

Jester’s Crown was 3rd in her NW1 against the boys.
Hubris was 2nd in his NW1.
Initforthelonghaul has just been super off as a 3yo. My guess is that she’s way over the hill.
Scarecrow perked up after a disastrous last start and finished 2nd in an OA.
This I Believe won her OA. It seems like jumps really are her thing.
Pearls of Wisdom finished 7th in her OA.
Lonely Victor was 10th in his OA.
Sherman’s March was 9th in her debut.
City Upon a Hill was 9th in his maiden.
Elven Star and Dreams of Glory went 1-2 in their NW3.
Daytona Beach won her ungraded stakes against the boys.
Chance of Rain won her ungraded stakes race.

This is exciting!

Unfortunately, [color=red]Hello Goodbye let me down again, placing 10/14 in 9.0f NW3 Allowance for 3yo+ F/M. Time for a jump trial.

Buut, [color=blue]Alfresco, my third homebred, placed 1/14 in 6.0f Maiden for 2yo! He broke his maiden on only his second race!

Now let’s hope I didn’t just jinx myself by announcing that.
