5/19

Do we have a triple crown winner in our midst?!?  How exciting. Congrats Lindsay and good luck at Belmont.

We are pleased with our boys as well…

[color=blue]Sponsored and [color=blue]Set The Stride finished 2nd and 3rd in The Preakness.  Sponsored earned his NCh. title!

[color=red]Blackheart Break and [color=red]Fightin’ The Smoke finished 3rd and 4th in the Black Eyed Susan Stakes.

Everyone else was allowance level or lower with mixed results.  Our debut Devil His Due 2yos don’t have a lot of spark yet but we have a few that have brought home some paychecks.  I’m staying optomistic.  He was never a powerhouse anyway…more of a consistant, learking contender.

Eeee! thanks Holly

Only win of the day was…

Well done Lindsay, fingers crossed for the Belmont.

We sent out 7 and everyone bought home a paycheck

Whoo! Congrats, Lindsay!!!

Decent day from the 3yos and up. No SWs, though.

Highlights:
Elven Star won her NW1.
Black Cherry FINALLY won this year, taking home a win in an OA. Joey the Giant was 3rd in the same race.
Killer Queen was a nice 2nd in an OA against the fillies. Fabulously High was 3rd in the same race.
Jester’s Crown (2yo) was a nice 3rd against the boys.
Pointed Question was 3rd in a claimer. Good luck to Starfish with him. I’m sure he’s just immature.

A pair of fourths and the rest off the board.

Congrats Lindsay!

Only sent out [color=blue]Prince Charming, a 2 year old by A.P. Indy. He ran away with his first dirt start, winning by two strides in a 14-horse field NW2. Yay!

Our 2YOs seem to be finding their feet, at the same as our 3YOs are finally starting to blossom (they were on strike as 2YOs, I think).

2YO homebred [color=red]Coquette (x Bellagio) broke her maiden in her NW1.  This was her second start, but first time on the dirt.  I think she also appreciated running against the girls only.  She is Bellagio’s eldest foal, so I’m happy to see her off to such a good start.

3YO homebred [color=red]With A Fleurish (x Gimme A Shot) won her NW2 and is starting to look consistant.  Temporary (leased) stablemate, [color=red]Never Doubt (x No Duplicate) trailed in 6th.

2YO [color=blue]Ducati (x Magic Cross) broke his maiden in his second lifetime start, first dirt start.  Our best colt to ever run was by Magic Cross, so I would be thrilled if this guy really takes off.

2YO homebred [color=red]Queen Catarina (x King David) broke her maiden in her second lifetime start, first turf start.  I think she also liked the change to a girls-only field.

2YO homebred [color=red]Singsong (x Rahy) finished second for the 3rd time in a row in her 3rd lifetime start.  Ironically, this is the second time that the same colt (Blu Times) has beaten her.   Maybe she likes the look of his tail?  Stablemate [color=red]Brooke Valentine was 11th in the same race.

2YO homebred [color=blue]Mimic (x I’m Your Angel) apparently liked the switch to turf, finishing 3rd in his second lifetime start.

3YO [color=blue]Exit Poll (x Irish River) was thrown into the G1 Ascot Gold Cup on a whim, though it proved to be far too long of a race for his fitness level, and he dropped back to 5th by the end.  He put on a good show, though.

The only other two to run were 4YO Irish Muldoon (11th) and 2YO Catalan Bay (8th), though I’m happy with the speed figures they racked up, so we’ll see what we can do in the future.

Congrats Lindsay, and I also keep my fingers crossed for the real-life I’ll Have Another  and Went the Day Well

Here, I had the best result: two entries, and two wins!

[color=red]Lacune won her NW2 Allowance steeplechase. She won the race by 3 3/4 lenghts, so with a very speedy finish. I think she’s not going to be at stakes level, but this is a very promising result.
[color=red]Your Chant won her open allowance, where she ran against only five other fillies, but the competition was really strong, so I’m especially proud of her.
Good fillies!

Out of 15 sent only 5 didn’t bring home some money

[color=red]Wishing on Sunday in an NW-3! 34 pts from ch.

Place
[color=blue]Steadfast stead in an NW-3
[color=red]Time For Bed in an OA
[color=blue]Golden Heist in an NW-3

[color=red]Angelic Theory in  G-2 genuine risk stakes 31 pts to ch.

4th
[color=red]High Darling(high chances) in a maiden
[color=red]Double Shot in an SC Allowance (thanks to jump trials) 31 pts from Gch !

5th
[color=blue]Thru Traffic (giants causeway) in an NW-2

The other 5 were all 2yo’s and just didn’t fire today

Congrats Lindsay! I really hope VL completes the Triple Crown!

Had a good day…

[color=red]KOWHAI won the Black-Eyed Susan Stakes (Gr.1). This is her third Grade One win this year. Good decision to swap her back to running against the girls. She’ll target the Triple Tiara.
[color=red]I’M A DIVA was second in the Black-Eyed Susan Stakes (Gr.1). She is yet to win a race this year but has only been out of the top three twice (all stakes starts).
[color=red]TAKE ME HIGHER was fifth in the Black-Eyed Susan Stakes (Gr.1). She’s on a plane back to Vaucluse to rest up.

[color=red]STAR SPUN won the Genuine Risk (Gr.2). Pretty happy with her. She looks to be a sprinter.

[color=blue]BILLIONAIRE was fourth in the Prince of Wales Stakes (Gr.1). Trying to get him a Grade One win and at least one other stakes this year to stud qualify him.

Congrats Lindsay!
We had a pretty decent day here as well, especially our few stakes ponies

2yos
American Promise (King David) bombed. Not sure why, he ran 2nd on his last start which was the exact same

Another Nobody (Void) also bombed. Silly 2yos. It was his first start, we’ll try turf next time

3yo+
Angelius (I’m Your Angel) ran 2nd in an allowance. I tried some new equipment, he seemed to like it

Daydreamer (Gimme A Shot) ran 3rd in a dirt claimer

Eloquently (Strider) ran 3rd in a dirt allowance

Fruitloop (Easy Goer) Rocked it winning his allowance. That makes 2 wins in a row with his new equipment!

Hubble (Point Given) is a recent $5000 claimer and he WON his allowance. He likes long distance turf!

Uncanny Yodel (Highland Bandit) ran 3rd in a SC allowance

Careless Whisper (Alydar) ran 3rd in the Ascot Gold Cup against the boys. I wasn’t sure how she would handle the 20furlongs, pretty happy with a 3rd!

Anglesite (I’m Your Angel) made me proud running 2nd in the GI St. James’ Palace Stakes against the boys! It was a tough field and she flew all the way to england so i’m very proud

Run Jenny Run (What’s Your Point) WON the GI St. James’ Palace Stakes against stablemate Anglesite. Very very excited about this boy! This makes 4 stakes wins in a row!
