Our 2YOs seem to be finding their feet, at the same as our 3YOs are finally starting to blossom (they were on strike as 2YOs, I think).
2YO homebred [color=red]Coquette (x Bellagio) broke her maiden in her NW1. This was her second start, but first time on the dirt. I think she also appreciated running against the girls only. She is Bellagio’s eldest foal, so I’m happy to see her off to such a good start.
3YO homebred [color=red]With A Fleurish (x Gimme A Shot) won her NW2 and is starting to look consistant. Temporary (leased) stablemate, [color=red]Never Doubt (x No Duplicate) trailed in 6th.
2YO [color=blue]Ducati (x Magic Cross) broke his maiden in his second lifetime start, first dirt start. Our best colt to ever run was by Magic Cross, so I would be thrilled if this guy really takes off.
2YO homebred [color=red]Queen Catarina (x King David) broke her maiden in her second lifetime start, first turf start. I think she also liked the change to a girls-only field.
2YO homebred [color=red]Singsong (x Rahy) finished second for the 3rd time in a row in her 3rd lifetime start. Ironically, this is the second time that the same colt (Blu Times) has beaten her. Maybe she likes the look of his tail? Stablemate [color=red]Brooke Valentine was 11th in the same race.
2YO homebred [color=blue]Mimic (x I’m Your Angel) apparently liked the switch to turf, finishing 3rd in his second lifetime start.
3YO [color=blue]Exit Poll (x Irish River) was thrown into the G1 Ascot Gold Cup on a whim, though it proved to be far too long of a race for his fitness level, and he dropped back to 5th by the end. He put on a good show, though.
The only other two to run were 4YO Irish Muldoon (11th) and 2YO Catalan Bay (8th), though I’m happy with the speed figures they racked up, so we’ll see what we can do in the future.
