4/4 - Babies!!

Woo!!! 19 out, only 5 out of the top 4 - and that included 10 babies making their debuts. :smiley: Even our stakes ponies did reasonably well, with a pair of 4ths from 3 entrants.

Wins:
[color=blue]Thrill A Sec (Lasting Spirit), 2yo we purchased at auction. He’s the first foal from a MSW millionaire mare so we’re excited about his prospects.

[color=blue]Indy’s Flight (A.P. Indy), first foal from a MSW mare.

[color=red]Thats Not My Point (What’s Your Point), 2yo 1/2 sister to SP Timbuktu.

[color=blue]Rumplestiltskin (Highland Magic) in an allowance.

[color=blue]Star Tide (A.P. Indy) in his stakes debut.

[color=red]Cuckoo (Foolhardy) in a stakes.

Our stable broke 1,000 wins today. To think some of those came from babies! Usually I’m cursing them at this point - but hey, there’s a long season ahead for them to be persnickety. :wink:

Good thing I don’t judge the 2yo’s too harshly for several more months, haha. We sent out six babies and the best we managed was a pair of 5th’s. So excluding the 6, we did really well! The other half returned with 0-1-3(1)-0.

[color=red]Irish Miss was 3rd/9 in a NW3.
[color=blue]I’m Your Devil ran 2nd/13 in a NW3.
[color=red]Hot Nurse was 3rd/14 in an OA.
[color=red]Ekosian ran 3rd/12 in the Ungr. Primonetta Stakes – she definitely prefers longer.

Well we sent out 17 today with 8 of them babies, only 6  out of all of them didn’t come home with a check! But the highlight of the day was my Nightfight colt wiring his first race!! In a full field of 14 mixed company.

Sent 7 out, no babies, missed out on the entries. Of the 7 only 3 came home with a cheque so not the best day, except for my lovely stakes filly!

Avondale (Irish River) ran 4th in a NW3. It was a big field and 4th seems to be his favourite position…

Cinnabar (What’s Your Point) WON a NW3. This boy has been running really really nicely this season, time to try another stakes race

Anglesite (I’m Your Angel) WON the Banshee Breeze Handicap which makes her a MSW and a Champion! I’m super excited to see what the rest of her season has in store

Happy he won today! Looks good for his mama :slight_smile:

Great results. First, I’m really happy about my 2yo filly’s win, but not only that.

[color=red]She’s Outlawed (NCh. Robin Hood (S) - Forever Gone (B)) won her debut, which was a NW3 allowance for 2yo fillies. She was in front of the second filly only by the neck, but the other horses were two lengths behind them.
Another win was from [color=red]Jorghinia, a 3yo filly that was doing well only in claimers. This time we entered her in a steeplechase race and she won. Very promising.
The second 2yo racing today was [color=blue]Sugarbird (GCh. My Lucky Day (S) - Beautiful Flight (B)), which finished 4th/9 in his debut on dirt.
3yo Shadow In The Dark is being inconsistent because the track was slow, and she prefers fast, so she finished 6th/14.
5yo [color=red]Ch. Summer Morning finished 4th/10 in 16 furlongs Paddy Power Gold Cup.

We’re also temporarily managing Meara Stable. They had a pretty good day, too (though I didn’t enter them so can’t take the credit :wink:)

[color=red]Latinate, 2yo filly by The Fighting Fifty, was 2nd in her debut.

[color=blue]New Rule was 2nd in the Lincoln Handicap.

Two other 2yos and an unplaced 3yo finished off the board.

I’m so excited the 2yo races are here! Big daddy, Nightfight was a proud pappa today. :slight_smile:

Congrats Carole on [color=blue]Set It Offs (Nightfight) win!

WINS:

[color=blue]Nightwatchman (Nightfight) - Hope this talented colt will keep it up. I just love his breeding.  Also, the only filly entered in the race, [color=red]Talisman of Littlefield, happened to be by Nightfight as well and finished 2nd. Congrats!

PLACES:

Recent purchase from Iron Spur, [color=red]Deep Of The Night (Nightfight), finished 2nd in her NW3 allowance debut.

[color=red]Captivator had her best finish this year.  I just don’t want to give up on this mare!

[color=red]Class It Up did well in her open allowance.  She’s really maturing this year.

[color=red]Daily Special got back in the money with her place in the Excelsior Breeders’ Cup.

[color=red]Hollywood Cigar also had a great finish in the Paddy Power Gold Cup.

SHOWS:

[color=red]Daisy May Care surprised us with her finish in the Santa Anita Derby proving she can hang with the big girls.

[color=red]Enyo with another good finish in the Winterbottom Stakes.

[color=blue]I’m David is still finding his stride but managed a paycheck in his NW1.

Also congrats to  [color=red]Clarity Of Night (Nightfight) of Cricket Hill for her 2nd place debut!

No babies for us yet but three out of four runners OTB including a stakes runner.

[color=blue]Crystal Wizard 3yo ran out a very comfortable winner of his NW2 on dirt, breaking his maiden in the process.

[color=blue]Ganymede 3yo came 2nd in his allowance with the first two well clear of the chasing pack.

[color=red]Crowd Teaser 4yo earned her first stakes placing, finishing 3rd in the Lincoln Handicap  :slight_smile: First time she’s been as far as 8f so pleased with her performance.
