4/25

I have one nice 2yo colt!  :slight_smile: [color=blue]Gold Tic (by Point Given (S)) won his 5 furlongs NW2 Allowance for 2yo, by impressive 2 3/4 lengths. It’s his second start and second win.
[color=red]Lacune, my 3yo not-so-successful filly won this time easily, leaving all the other horses far behind. It was just NW1 but still very nice win.
[color=red]Alchaasibiyeh finished 3rd/6 in her race. She could be overworked.

Not a great day. Sent out 16 and only 5 hit the board.

2yo’s
[color=blue]Bandwagon (King David) ran 3rd/14 in a NW1.
[color=blue]Breakfast in Bed (Harvard Bound) was 3rd/6 in his NW3.

We switched [color=blue]St. Elmo’s Fire to SC and apparently he likes it! He finished 2nd/6 in a NW3.
[color=red]Daytona Weekend ran 3rd/6 in an OA.
Highlight was [color=blue]Glorioso finishing 2nd/10 in the G3 Crown Royal American Turf.

Had a mixed day, 9 runners, 2 winners, 2 seconds, 2 thirds, and 3 unplaced.

Highlights of the day were:-
[color=blue]GCh Lucky Streak, who won the G1 Audemars Piguet Queen Elizabeth II Cup in Hong Kong. This was his seventh Stakes win and he will be qualified as a Stallion for next year.
[color=red]Ch Princess Kaiulani, who won the G3 Crown Royal American Turf at Churchill Downs. This was her second consecutive Stakes win and fourth overall.

Special mention must also go to [color=blue]Ch AndLikeThatHesGone, beaten a head in the G3 Skip Away Handicap at Gulfstream, & [color=blue]Ch Rebel Brother, beaten a nose in the G3 Vigil Stakes at Woodbine.

There were also promising runs from 2YO’s [color=red]Saucy Magician & [color=blue]Bracton who both finished 3rd in their Allowance Races at Aqueduct.

Two girls out, and two wins. We’re having a very fortunate lucky streak.  :slight_smile:

[color=red]Ultimate Follly has managed to pay for herself (plus some) only two weeks after we bought her. Fingers crossed & she’ll keep it up…

King of Gondor has now officially become [color=red]Ch. King of Gondor. She’s won four out of the five races she’s been in so far this year. She’ll be going back out in a Stakes race as soon as possible.

Pretty great day - 12 out, only 1 worse than 4th. Of course, non-stakes ponies dramatically outperformed stakes ponies.

Wins:
[color=red]Three Ballads (Cryptic Ballad) in a NW1.

[color=red]Gift of Gold (Giant’s Causeway) in a NW2. A 2yo who’s 2 for 2, woo!

[color=blue]Indy’s Flight (A.P. Indy) in a NW3. Another 2yo who’s 2 for 2. :slight_smile:

[color=blue]Point of Pride (Point Given) in an allowance.

Places:
[color=red]In The Loop (As You Wish), who seems determined to tease me with near-wins.

[color=red]Inner Light (Crystal Rainbow) in the Bed O’Roses Breeders’ Cup Handicap.

Shows:
[color=red]Fairy Cat (Alley Cat) in an allowance.

[color=red]Perfect Timing (A.P. Indy) in the Queenston Stakes.

[color=blue]Rumplestiltskin (Highland Magic) in the WA Guineas.

Fourths:
[color=red]Golden Aura (Magic Glory) in the Skip Away Handicap.

[color=blue]Lord Nelson (Cigar) in the Audemars Piguet Queen Elizabeth II Cup.

Excellent day.

[color=blue]Prince Charming (A.P. Indy 2YO) ran 2nd/10 behind another A.P. Indy colt in a NW3 on turf.

[color=blue]Uncle Pennybags (What’s Debatable 4YO) won the 7f Grade 2 Lee Steere Stakes, two strides ahead of the rest of the field. This is his sixth stakes win - he only needs his G1 win to qualify for stud now. :slight_smile:

No winners today but all three in the money.

Both [color=red]Peep Show and [color=red]Send Me Flowers finished 2nd by a nose in their respective OA races.

[color=red]Blaze Of The Soul took 5th in her NW2.

After showing lots of promise in their debuts, the 2yo’s sucked it up in their second tries, other horses did much better.

Dos Equis crossed the wire first in a turf nw2, 1st/9.

Blue Thistle was impressive winning a turf OA for fillies and mares. 1st/14. Try a stakes with her next time out.

The highlight of our day was Romantic Memory’s win in the Queenston Stakes. Her dam, Romancer was our starter horse, she was a decent racehorse for us with 7 wins from 58 starts and earnings of $386,000. Though majority of her sucess came on the grass her biggest win came on the dirt in the P.J. O Shea Stakes. We retired her mid-way through her 5yo season and we bred her to the still active Secretariat. Romantic Memory was the result of that mating and sadly she was her first and only foal, Romancer died after complications from giving birth. Today’s win meant a lot to us, it’s nice that Romancer’s only foal has turned out to be a good one.

Today’s win is Romantic Memory’s first stakes win and she also became a millionaire today. It had become a goal of mine for her to become a millionaire BEFORE she became a stakes winner, thought that would be a funny circumstance, coming into this race she was about $60,000 away from that status but she had other idea’s and came home in front today.
