Much better than on Wednesday. We finally got our first 2YO winner this year. Our 2YO record so far this year is now 19-1-1-1-1. We have just changed our 2YO training routine so, hopefully, they will take to this new routine better than the previous one.
Wins Ch. Watch My Valentine, (4yo, Stressed) in the G1 Cantala Stakes. She hasn’t been easy to train this year and due to that, plus an injury, this was only her 2nd race this year, both of which she has won. Foolin’ No One, (3yo, Foolhardy) in the G3 Comely Stakes. Her 2nd win in only her 4th race. N.Ch. Magic Roundabout, (5yo, Magic Glory) in the Ung Great Metropolitan Handicap. Whiskey Night, (2yo, Nightfight) in an NW2. Flying Topaz, (3yo, Major’s Flight) in a Maiden, finally breaking his maiden on his 13th try (obviously 13 is not an unlucky number for him).
Seconds G.Ch. Ancient Fire, (5yo, Turn n’Burn) in an OA, beaten by a Head.
Thirds Ch. My Girl Barb, (5yo, I’m A Classic) in the G3 Bay Shore Stakes. Intrepid (Leased from Ivy Creek), (3yo, Carrowmore) in the Ung Yankee Affair Stakes. Princess Seven (Leased from Markos), (5yo, Prince Of Wonder) in the Ung Lady Angela Stakes. Ch. Silver Dreams, (4yo, Cool Thief) in the Ung Great Metropolitan Handicap.
Yayyyy! Congrats on Whiskey Nights win. His old stable mate and brother, Pick And Choose, finished right behind him. Super cute to see them stick together like that.

Absolutely terrible day for us with two runners finishing way off the board in their stakes races. It was rather spectacular, like Cozmic One’s debut race yesterday.
Lol, I saw that about Cosmic One, too. How disappointing!
We had another okay day here at CDS, though. Sent out 29 and most finished pretty well.

PLACES
2yos
Daily Grind (My Lucky Day) in a Maiden.
Irish Cherry (Irish Gold) finished right behind stablemate Pittsburgh Rare in her maiden. I’ve been really pleased with Irish Gold’s first crop so far.

3yo+
Classic Wildcat (I’m A Classic) in a NW2.
Nightlife II (Nightfight) in a NW2. I think he maybe a late maturer because he’s hard to keep in shape for racing but he does race well when he gets to the track.
Saint Joseph (Holy Bull) in an Open allowance.
Winning Legacy (Nightfight) right behind stablemate Spock Jr. in an open allowance.
Don’t Trip (Nightfight) continues to show promise finishing 2nd in the Derby Trial. He will be heading to the Kentucky Derby next.
Devil’s Imagination (Devil His Due) had a great run in the Highland Rogue Stakes finishing 2nd after a battle for 1st.

Knockout (Nightfight) in the Bob Slater Stakes. Moonless Night (Nightfight), finished behind him in 4th.

What’s Your Name (Nightfight) finished right behind stablemate and brother, Don’t Trip, in the Derby Trial. He will be headed to the Kentucky Derby as well.
Thank you. Yes with only one out of 10 2 yo’s I have run Tonka Toy is the only one to even hit the board. but that’s how racing goes. I’m happy with my little string of ponies.
