4/16

Recent race days have been a little disappointing but a much better day today - 12 runners with 7 winners.

[color=blue]Prohibition (2yo AP Indy won his NW1).

[color=red]Small Town Debate (3yo What’s Debatable) broke her maiden in an NW2.

[color=red]Deliverance (5yo Major’s Flight) won her NW2 after a switch to jumps.

[color=red]Naivety (3yo Stressed) won her NW2.

[color=blue]Free At Last (3yo Highland Wizard) won his OA.

[color=red]Alycus (4yo Alley Cat) won her OA over fences.

[color=red]Celtic Crystal (4yo Crystal Rainbow) won her OA over fences.

All but one of the other runners picked up a paycheck.

Two runners out but I forgot which two, lol

[color=red]Infinite Horizons has been very good to me this year. Four starts, four in-the-money finishes. Today she brought home her second win in a 5f dirt allowance for 3YOs and a nice $42,000 paycheck (minus jockey fees). Her momma never amounted to anything on the track but her first two babies to race have won multiple races each. So happy.

[color=red]Age of Mythology is the stable’s first 2YO runner and she ran 7th in a 6f dirt maiden for 2YO fillies. Try, try again, baby girl.

I only got 6 entered before deadlines closed, but I’m super pleased with those 6.  The ICF 3yos will be MIA for a while on break, but at least the older ponies are coming back to the tracks now, clearly refreshed:

WINS

[color=red]Ch. D’lightful (5yo, High Chances x D’licious) won the G3 Bay Shore Stakes against the boys, setting her third speed record.

[color=blue]NCh. Fight The Twilight (4yo, Nightfight x Twilight Embers) won the ungraded Yankee Affair Stakes, setting his first speed record and earning his new title.  This was his 7th stakes win.  He only needs 1 G1 win to get stud qualified, so we’ll be aiming him at some bigger races for the rest of the year.

[color=blue]GCh. Allinvain (5yo, Worth My While x Alwuhush) won the ungraded Bob Slater Stakes, setting his second speed record.  He just needs 2 more stakes wins of any level to qualify for stud.

PLACES

[color=blue]Extol (2yo, What’s Debatable x Highland Treasure) finished second in his maiden race, his first start.

SHOWS

[color=blue]GCh. Bear Witness (4yo, Witness x Dreamweaver) finished third in the G1 Cantala Stakes.  He now needs 2 stakes wins of any level to become stud qualified.

[color=blue]GCh. Mimic (4yo, I’m Your Angel x Slew Copy) finished third in the G3 Asian Beau Stakes.  He needs 3 stakes wins of any level to become stud qualified.

Really nice day.

[color=blue]GCh. Al Mundhir won the ungraded Woodstock Stakes. Now he needs only one stakes win of any grade to be stud qualified! How exciting!

Recently claimed [color=red]Fine Glass was 4th/8 in Australia. Looks like she doesn’t care to earn her home ticket.

2yo [color=blue]Lapis Lazuli was 5th/10 in a maiden. Maybe it was too soon to race him again.

3yo [color=green]Zimbardo was 6th/13 in a claimer and got claimed. Good luck with him, new home!

4yo [color=red]Ch. Akasha was 6th/14 in open steeplechase after a month of rest.

Another good day for us with 4 more wins, including 3 SW, 2 of which were G1W, and our 2nd 2yo winner of the year. Today was a great day for The Grey Stables broodmare [color=red]Blarneystone Lane as two of her progeny, half-brothers [color=blue]Hogsmeade and  [color=blue]Hogwarts, both won G1 races for us, taking their combined record this year to 7 SW (including 3 G1W) and 2 SP (including 1 G1P), in 9 starts. It is also the second time in four months that they both won Stakes races on the same day.
