Not a great day by the numbers but two highlights I’m very excited about!
My two-year-old Pride Lands became my first two-year-old to bring home a win. And to make it even sweeter, she’s Dark Continent’s first winner! We’re very proud of this little girl.
My $5k claim Uncle Pennybags won the Grade 3 La Troienne for his first stakes win. I hope he can keep this up, because I really like this colt.
My three other horses sent out failed to hit the board. Two year old Kokoro no Kizu Ni ran 5th/14 (well enough that I’ll keep her out and see if we can’t improve a bit), and my other two year old Dual Honor ran 9th/14 (coming home to mature). Scanner Darkly isn’t quite sure what’s going on coming off of a rest, and he ran 5th/8.
2yos:
Pearls of Wisdom (Strider) 4th
Chance of Rain (High Chances) 5th
Things Like Fate (Affirmed) 5th
Point of Pride (Point Given) 2nd
Joey the Giant (Giants Causeway) 4th
3yos+
Forgotten Road won her allowance.
Tickled Pink and Dagnabit went 1-2 in their allowance.
Nolanda was 4th in her claimer. Jury is out on whether she’s been claimed.
This I Believe was a 2nd in her allowance.
Soupy was 4th in her stakes.
Out of Control was the only one off the board, finishing 10th. I think we may have to start looking for dates for the little lady. She’s been meh since early February.
And we’re waiting on NCh. Demand the Best. A win would be nice, but we’ll take a paycheck of some sort. =)
We only sent out one today, which also happened to be our first 2yo starter of the year as well.
Life On The Moon (I’m Your Angel) pulled a shocker, well to us at least, and made his debut a winning one. We’re looking forward to seeing what this colt can do in the future.
2yo’s
A.P. Goodyear won her debut by a nose. Interestingly, our other A.P. Indy filly also won her debut. Makes me wonder what our 3rd A.P. 2yo will do!
Surroundsound Love (Double Cross) ran 6th/14 in her debut and will probably head home to mature.
Field of Diamonds (Ring of Fire) is definitely not ready, finishing 6th/14. He was 7th last time out, so he’ll also head home.
Manchester Fields (create) ran 8th/14; another heading home.
Hills of Snow (Gimme a Shot) was 7th/14 in her debut.
Gunningdownlove (Gunningdownromance) ran 2nd/14, so very happy! She’s only 14.1hh though, so not sure if I should send her home to grow or simply go slow.
Cherokee Princess (Boldness Shows) was 3rd/14.
Pepper Bomb (create) was 2nd/14.
Hollywood Lovesong (Rumor Has It) ran 5th/14.
The oldies (ish)
Sun Godess SHOCKED me with a 2nd/5th in her NW2. I think we finally found her niche!
Painted Sunset was turning wheels in her return to the track, finishing 6th/8 in her NW3. Wondering is SC is her route - Sun Godess is by the same sire and didn’t pick up until the switch to SC.
In the UNG Smart Halo Stakes, Orkenstorm ran 4th/14 and Black Clouds was 6th.
A shout-out congrats to Pride Lands - we own her dam!
King of Surprise won his SC Allowance for 3yo. It’s his first win ever, and his first race for Clicker Lab. It’s also the first horse that I bought in the game.
Classical Hightail won her maiden for 3yo+ fillies, also her first win ever and her second race for Clicker Lab.
Private Party was 2nd in her Starter Allowance for 3yo+. Again, her first race for Clicker Lab - we claimed her on 26th March, from a race in which she was 3rd.
2yos:
Worth A Shot (Gimme A Shot) 7th
On Angel’s Wings (Slew O’Scots) 6th
Devil’s Chance (Devil May Care) 5th
Paparazzo (Witness) 14th
Full of Promise (Secretary) 10th
Harrison Ford (Witness) 10th
One of a Kind (No Duplicate) 1st
Raven’s Glory (Magic Glory) 7th
Songcatcher (Tiznow) 6th
We sent out a lot today so we’ll just mention those worth while.
2yos
Classy Point (Whats Your Point) finished 2nd.
Daisy May Care (Devil May Care) stayed on the board again for 3rd.
Fighin’ The Smoke (Nightfight) won her race. She placed last time so that’s another winnner for Nightfight, yay!!
Inheritance (Nightfight) finished 2nd.
Peacemaker (Stike It Rich) finished 2nd.
Sadler’s Eclipse (Sadler’s Wells) came in 3rd.
Sponsored (Nightfight) finished 4th.
Swing Jazz (Jazz It Up) failed to show much interest and finished 7th.
3yos+
Crowned In Dreams finished 2nd in the Grade 2 Black Stakes. This guy was a claimer last year and has really been a good racer earning almost a million for us so far.
Ethereal Light surprised us with a 2nd place finish in the Mamzelle Stakes.
Hollyworth and Fleet Risk went 1 and 2 in their started allowance.
Lone Black Wolf won his claimer and his first time out this year. Luckily he wasn’t claimed.
Mulligan gave us another 3rd is his NW3 today.
Run It Up finally broke his maiden today in a NW1!
Seahorse finished 3rd in a 70K allowance.
Wise Lady finished 3rd in a full field in the Smart Halo Stakes.
Wizardly Lady gave us a 2nd today in a NW3.
Worth A Diamond continues to bring home a paycheck with a 4th place finish in the Grd 2 Linlithgow Stakes.
Stallion update: Nightfight is up to 4 winners and 4 placers this year out of 13 racers and of the five unplacers 2 have finished 4th and one 5th. That’s only 2 out of the money so far. I’m really feeling proud for my boy.
Ch. Destiny Star placed 2[sup]nd[/sup] in a 6.5f Claiming that no one wanted him in. The poor guy was doing really badly for a while there even though he used to be such a winner. This race gives us hope for his career again.
