Well we sent out 9 and only 2 didn’t win something. Finally a decent day.
[color=green]Just Go Wicked-6.0f NW2 Allow,3yo+,Dirt - Fast,[color=green]3rd this guy has perked up after some time off at the track just exercising, he is for sale.
[color=red]The Chance 2 Dance-7.0f Allow,3yo F,Turf - Good,[color=red]1st this girl continues to impress! Couldn’t find her a stakes race so had to run an allowance.
[color=red]Vivian Leigh-7.0f Allow,3yo F,Turf - Good,[color=red]8th another filly refusing to run at 3, am really wondering what happened to my stakes fillies all of a sudden!
[color=blue]Height Of Darkness-5.0f Allow,3yo,Turf - Good ,[color=blue]2ndthis guy continues to improve leading his stablemate to the finish.
[color=blue]Magic Dancer-5.0f Allow,3yo,Turf - Good,[color=blue]3rd happy with this guy he keeps trying following close on the heels of his stablemate above to finish 2/3.
[color=blue]Golden Heist-8.5f NW3 Allow,3yo,Turf - Good,[color=blue]3rd running a pretty good race leading his stablemate to the finish.

[color=blue]Tomahawks-8.5f Allow,3yo+,SC - Good,[color=blue]4th Still bringing home money after the jump trials said he loved to jump!
Yay, my first Grand Champion!
[color=red]GCh. The Woman In Black won the Santa Lucia Handicap, which made her dam Strike And Run gold-ranked. Well deserved!
We also had some nice results in Santa Ana Handicap, where [color=red]Ch. Melodramatic finished 2nd/10 and [color=red]Ch. Private Party finished 3rd/10.
Our recently claimed 5yo mare [color=red]Roll of Quarters was 3rd/6 in her steeplechase debut.
[color=red]Your Chant didn’t like the track this time, probably, as she finished 5th.
For [color=blue]Click and Play, the distance was too short maybe, but he was still trying hard. He may be a stayer. This time he was 6th.
Good day here too - I’ll take more like this please! Not sure if it was the return to home soil for some of our runners but sent out 7 and ended the day with two wins, four 2nds and a 5th. Nobody running at stakes level but every little helps
[color=red]Coldenoughforsnow (create) finished 5th in her claimer and stayed with us. She’s 4 now and not shown much this season so will probably be given a try over fences before heading to the paddocks next year.
[color=red]Blaze Of The Soul (Ring of Fire 4yo) ran in the $50,000 claimer, finishing 2nd and also stayed with us which I’m really pleased about. She might also be given a try over fences.
[color=red]Peep Show (Sneak Peak 4yo) had been struggling at open allowance level after a decent year coming up through the levels last year. She came back from a fairly long break at the farm for her first try over 13.5f in an OA for mares and finished a decent 2nd after leading most of the way. She should appreciate a drop in trip.
New purchase [color=red]Kokoro no Kizu Ni (Steal Your Heart) and [color=red]Kingston Cara (War Chant) ran in a 9f NW2 on turf for 3yo fillies. Both maidens going into the race they ran very nicely to finish 1st and 2nd Koko only joined us fairly recently, very pleased to see her run so nicely and a career best effort from Cara too.
Following their example, our two maiden 3yo colts [color=blue]Quarren (Sadlers Wells) and [color=blue]Peppermint Cream (Rahy) also posted career bests taking 1st and 2nd in their NW3 for 3yos and up. Hoping the time given for maturning plus the addition of equipment will continue to help. Quarren also earned a speed record for his efforts.
Sent out 8 and 5 brought home checks. Confused over what happened with To Alaska who was apparently 1st at the finish, but 9th in the results. Oh well. Only showing the highlights:
[color=blue]St. Elmo’s Fire won his NW2. This is his first win of the year after 6 tries.
[color=red]On Dove’s Wings finished 2nd/13 in a NW3.
[color=red]Sheza Swan ran 2nd/6 in a NW3 after taking a month-long break.
[color=red]Ordinarily Yours ran 4th/6 in her NW3. Definitely needs more distance.
Pretty good day. 9 fillies out, and the only one off the board was our stakes entry (of course).
Wins:
[color=red]A Capella (What’s Debatable) in a NW1.
[color=red]Apprintice (Candidate) in an allowance.
[color=red]Golden Aura (Magic Glory) in an allowance.
[color=red]Devil’s Price (Candidate) in a NW2.
Places:
[color=red]In The Loop (As You Wish) in a NW1. Still just shy of breaking her maiden.
Shows:
[color=red]Clochan na bhFomha (Giant’s Causeway) in an allowance.
[color=red]Inner Light (Crystal Rainbow) in an allowance.
[color=red]Royal Strait Flush (Diplomat) in a NW2.
Congrats to [color=blue]Gunningdownromance’s son Ghost Hunter on his win, making him 2 for 2 lifetime.
The results display is still a bit wonky. Whatever it says on the horse’s page is where they actually finished.
Had four ponies out and only one hit the board - but that was a win so she made up for all the other horses’ entry fees.
[color=red]USS Enterprise won her second race in a row. Apparently she really appreciates the shadow roll and turf routes. I know the Tiznows aren’t very spectacular but I harbor some hope that she’ll become a stakes filly by the end of the year.
We had abnormally good results - I think our ponies were feeling a bit frisky after extra rest, and that put a little pep in their step!
4YO [color=red]Mango Frappe (x Sunday Silence) won her $50k claimer and still came home with us. I like that idea - but I hope she can take notes from this race to remember what to do next time out.
4YO homebred [color=red]Oh So Proud (x Highland Pride) won her NW2. She’s been super consistant this year, FINALLY.
3YO homebred [color=blue]Imprimis (x King David) ran 2nd in his NW2. He has yet to break his maiden, but we’re getting much, much warmer!
5YO [color=red]Twirlaway (x Whirlaway) finished 3rd in the Santa Lucia Handicap, earning her champion title. At the beginning of the season, I did not forsee this at all. I kept her for love of her sire. Proving that she can run has made me super happy.
We claimed the 3YO A.P. Indy colt, [color=blue]Dawson’s Rudge, who finished 4th - but it was his first time out, so lack of experience was probably a huge factor. I’m excited to work with this boy.
3YO homebred [color=blue]Javasong (x Cryptic Ballad) was 4th in his maiden race. We’re hitting the board, but can’t quite figure out how to get him to kick it up a notch.
Annnnnnd…the only one who didn’t bring a paycheck was the petite [color=red]ShootForTheStars. She only stands 14.3hh, and due to a glitch in the code, she doesn’t have a REAL sire - so I can’t see what her estimated mature height range would be. But her momma is 16.3hh, so I’m guessing she’s still really immature.
