3/14

Only two out, not an amazing day but both ran well enough.

[color=red]Hoodwinked (4yo Foolhardy) ran 2nd in her OA. Definitely prefers shorter distance. Earned her Ch title today.

[color=red]Hilton Flyin High (4yo Worth My While) was sixth in her stakes race.

Also claimed [color=red]Zombie, a very lightly raced 4yo by What’s Your Point out of WCh Highland Grace. Third in her claimer, looking forward to trying to figure her out.

5 out, 4 hit the board.

2NDs
[color=blue]Stained Glass (4yo, Crystal Rainbow) in his NW2.
[color=red]Tiara Tango (5yo, High on Love) in her OA.
[color=blue]Necropolis (3yo, The Fighting Fifty) in a claimer and stays home.

3RDs
[color=blue]Political Scandal (3yo, Candidate) in his NW2.

Only no-show was recent acquisition [color=red]Little Indy, who ran 7th in her maiden but I’m still figuring her out.

Some nice results.

[color=red]Ch. A Sweet Melody won Gr. 2 Bonnie Miss Stakes, and earned a title. Ch. Iyaiyai won this race last year.

As for[color=red] Ch. Iyaiyai, she finished 7th/12 in Gr. 1 Santa Margarita Handicap. I hope that Melody’s prime time will last longer.

Nice day - even though we had mostly stakes entries.

Not a great day quantity-wise, however, definitely great quality-wise. Starfish horses were within a Neck of sweeping the three G1 races run today. One race to note was the G3 Tristarc Stakes, in which we had [color=red]G.Ch. Unknown Soldier & [color=red]Ch. Valentine’s Day finish 1-2. This is the 8th time that these two have finished 1-2 in the same race, with [color=red]Ch. Valentine’s Day leading 5-3.

Wins
[color=red]Ch. Walking On Air (Leased from Ivy Creek), (3yo, Express Yourself) in the G1 Florida Derby.
[color=red]Come On You Spurs, (3yo, Tottenham Hotspur) in the G1 Santa Anita Oaks. The first G1W sired by [color=blue]Tottenham Hotspur from only his 2nd crop.
[color=red]Ch. Making A Statement, (3yo, What’s Debatable) in the G3 Coongy Handicap. 4th consecutive year this race has been won by a Starfish horse, however, last years winner, [color=red]Debatable Love, could only finish 6th.
[color=red]G.Ch. Unknown Soldier, (4yo, Black Warrior) in the G3 Tristarc Stakes.
