I am getting stupidly excited for the next batch of foals! This is my biggest crop ever (about 85) with 21 due in January alone. I will try and lease just ONE mare next year, as that was pre-arranged haha. This will unexpectedly be the final crop for Yes It’s Paddy, so fingers crossed all foalings are successful. How is everyone else looking with their upcoming crop? Just trying to reboot the forum chatter. 
SO EXCITED for all the foals I will have this year. I only had a few last year and they were all from broodmares I bought. This time I actually planned a lot of these foals and I already have most of my breedings planned for next year. I have 66 foals due next year with 10 due in January.
28 2yo’s for next year which I can just about deal with (how do you cope with 85!!!) the following are my top five favourites
[color=blue]Braeriach dark bay Colt - GCh. Edinburgh x Ch. Mary Hill. Mary has produced 3 winners from 3 living foals including GCh. Fool on the Hill MSW and millionaire.
[color=blue]Royal Fool dark bay colt - FFCh. Foolhardy x NCh. Best Queen. Best Queen did not show her racing ability until she was 4yo so it may be her foals will be late maturing
[color=red]April’s Fool Brown filly FFCh High Chances x Ch Undebatable. Undebatable has been an outstanding broodmare for us with 5/5 foals being winners and 2 MSW Ch. Elfstone and Ch. Umbra
[color=red]Sweet Wishes Black Filly - WCh. As You Wish x While We’re Waitng. Dam is our senior broodmare and has 8/8 winning foals and 6 of those are SW or MSW including her full brother Millionaire GCh Secret Wishes and millionaire GCh Harlequin.
finally [color=red]Wild Fool Grey filly. FFCh. Foolhardy x Wild Highland. Sadly Wild Highland died earlier this year so there will be only one more of her foals to look forward to. she has 9 winners from 11 racers including 6 SW 3 MSW and one millionaire in Ch Wild Starz

All foals are much anticipated… I especially hope that the older mares will deliver safe & sound babies; like the 16 years old [color=red]WCh. Dreamboat, in foal to our stallion Al Mundhir. Her weanling colt is growing big and strong but two years ago she had a stillborn filly. Also, we have a few mares in foal to [color=blue]NCh. Space Chips, our second stallion. It will be his first crop.

63 due here - I’m trying to keep my numbers “low” around the 50 mark at max but clearly am failing at this. I also have retired 11 more broodmares so far. I probably need to start considering some hard cuts to certain lines but it’s so hard!
Most of our mares are in foal to our own stallions. This will be the first crop born to Allinvain, Bear Witness, and Zadar. It will be the second crop for Exit Poll and Fight The Twilight. This will be the third crop for Ducati - his first crop will hit the tracks next spring and I am SO excited to see how that goes. This will be the ninth crop from Bellagio.

We have a staggering 104 mares, with 18 being leased, 17 are not in foal, and 1-2 more are expected to retire from the track. This is Yes It’s Paddy’s final crop and we’re expecting 7 foals. Some of those expectant mares include a half-sister to Nightfight and Gotta Go, the dam of MSW Ch. Cherries Jubilee and SW Ch. Get the Axe, a MW daughter of Akhetnaten (who is proving to be a very nice damsire), and silver-ranked Voodoo Cocktail.
I don’t want to list all the foals I’m excited for, as I don’t want to jinx anything, but I am excited for the first foal out of the only half-sister to I’m Your Angel. Also excited for our first foals by American Pharaoh, Frosted, and Curlin. Fingers crossed for a safe foaling by 17yo gold-ranked Colors Waving, whom we acquired from the Color War awards this year.
My goal is to have less than 100 mares, but really I should be around 60-70 foals/year max. Failing. 
Made it to New Years Eve without any early foals! I’m expecting 6 first thing tomorrow if all the ladies cooperate, which I know they won’t. Very excited to see the new crop!

Made it without any early foals! Need to plan this a little better next year and try waiting. My husband and I are being super lazy tonight, so I’ll be checking for foals tonight! I have 2 due on the 1st and like 10 due this week
