We’re not up to five mares late, as those not expected for days are pushing out the kids. Von Hollywood wasn’t due for another week, but she foaled just fine. Loviisa is her third foal, and we’re really excited about a Cigar/Planet Hollywood cross. Loviisa is Finnish for “famous warrior.”
Von Hollywood will be put up for lease for 2017.

Black Storm was overjoyed to welcome three new foals into the world. Unfortunately, Star Shower went into labor nearly a week early and experienced complications. Although mommy is well and just tired, the foal could not be saved. Star Shower was already slated for our planned March broodmare auction and will be heading that direction and go unbred.

9.0hh dark bay colt
Beyond missing a star and having a tiny ermine on his right hind leg, he is almost the spitting image of mom! Order of the Rose is Glitter Rose’s third foal, and our only Gilded Saint foal. His sire’s massive, and his already-large size gives us high hopes.
Glitter Rose has been put up for lease for 2017.

Synbound was a good lady and foaled right on time! This is her first foal and he’s a big one (no doubt taking after his mom). Blue Ensign has done fairly well as a sire and Synbound, although lightly raced, did pretty well, so we’re hoping Georgie lives up to his parents. Yay colts!
Synbound will be bred to Silver Wizard for 2017.

While I’m Lucky’s first foal came a day early, and he’s a big boy! As his name might suggest, he’s from the Rogue/Worth line. His sire has done very well so far and his mother’s family (silver both on top and bottom) should guarantee much promise! We’re just happy momma foaled just fine; he’s monstrous.
While I’m Lucky will be bred to Devil His Due for 2017.

This girl arrived about three days early, but both her and momma are perfectly fine. Justafire’s half-sisters seem to have done well in SC, so we’re taking a chance with Doodles. We don’t typically breed for SC, so we’ll try her on the flat first before probably inevitably switching her.
Justafire will go unbred and be sold later.

I was sort of surprised the name wasn’t taken! Necropolis is a pure black colt with a single, tiny star. He’s Death Becomes Her’s third foal, a daughter of NCh. Killing Time. Admittedly, although The Fighting Fifty’s first two crops have done fairly well, we also picked him for his height (mommy is super short, haha). We’re hoping Necropolis does well later on and gains some height from daddy.
Death Becomes Her has been offered up for lease for 2017.

8.1hh chestnut filly
We were really looking forward to this foal in particular, and are doubly excited for Cordially to give us a filly! We picked up Cordially in foal to My Lucky Day last year from the Railbird auction for just $1,000. I really like My Lucky Day, so to not only pick up a daughter of Diplomat but to also get her in foal to My Lucky Day (and for that price) was something we couldn’t pass up! A Lucky Cigar/Diplomat cross hasn’t been done yet, so we’re really crossing our fingers with this one.
Cordially will be going to Void for 2017.
