So now the last races of the year have been run, how’d you do?
This Year
Races: 870
Wins: 217 (25%)
Places: 166 (19%)
Shows: 125 (14%)
Fourths: 107 (12%)
Earnings: $37,768,950
This was by far my best year - well over double my previous best year in terms of earnings. I was second overall for the year and the fourth in terms of wins (which is great given the top three stables ran basically double or more the races I ran). I was also =3rd for on the board with 58% - of the other stables on the top 10 earnings list, only one other is on the OTB list.
I finished with a number of horses in top 10 lists for the year - I’m No Fool and Bay of Biscay 1st & 2nd for earnings; I’m No Fool, Bay of Biscay, To Die For and Ilsaheri 1st, =3rd, =6th and =8th for stakes wins; I’m No Fool, Bay of Biscay, Gal From Seattle and Ilsaheri 1st, 2nd, 5th and 10th for points.
Well I haven’t done as well as Jason but I’m still very happy with this years results:
Races:671
Wins:149 (22%)
Places:109 (16%)
Shows:100 (15%)
Fourths:64 (10%)
Earnings:$7,740,300
and either 8th or 10th (got 2 diferent results in the last 10 minutes?) in the top 10 winning stables, the only time I have appeared in any of the rankings
This is by far the best year I’ve ever had and I hope i can continue as well next year
Races: 861
Wins: 167 (19%)
Places: 125 (15%)
Shows: 111 (13%)
Fourths: 73 (8%)
Earnings: $8,021,100
Very pleased with my first full season, 7th highest number of winners. Good luck to all of you for next year
Toast of the Town is 4th for overall number of points; she should also appear as tied with Changeling for 10th place for # of SWs (7). And we managed to hit all three boards (# of wins, most earnings, and % OTB). More exciting, was this was the first year 20% of our finishes were winners.
Still waiting for a monster. There were a couple 2yos that showed a lot of potential at the start of the season but fizzled out. Here’s hoping they perk up as 3yos.
I have no clue where you’re finding the stable list but here are my stats, my best racing year since joining!( I take it back, my best money yr but last yr I had 53% total) so best 2 yrs so far out of 7!
Well I didn’t make any stable lists, but I have several horses still holding speed records, some are moms now, a stud and some still racing, and one holds a long distance on both dirt and turf!
This Year
Races: 846
Wins: 116 (14%)
Places: 117 (14%)
Shows: 127 (15%)
Fourths: 90 (11%)
Earnings: $6,745,025
OTB- 43%
A solid year, mostly thanks to Silver Cross and Uncle Pennybags. No really huge runners - most of my starts were spent trying cheap claimers and auction rejects and getting them to run consistently, but it worked out pretty well. Here’s to 2016!
Our three biggest runners were Mission of Love, Night’s Over, and Dragon Heart, in that order. I’m sad that I wasn’t active for a few months, otherwise I would’ve run more horses a bit more. Here’s hoping for a better season in 2016!
One of our most active years in a while (and, sadly, that still included a few months of ignoring the ponies). No superstars, but some good consistency.
We were slightly down on last years earnings but still finished in the top 10. Only had 13% wins-to-races, but 23 of our 82 wins (28%) were Stakes wins, including 6 G1 wins.
Top performers were:- [br]3YO [color=blue]GCh. Lucky Streak (earnings $2,600,000, won 2 G1 races, including the Breeders’ Cup Turf, placed in all three Breeders’ Series 3YO Turf races), [br]3YO [color=red]Ch. Big Dawn (earnings $698,950, won the G1 Irish One Thousand Guineas and placed in the G1 Irish Derby and the G1 Irish Oaks Stakes), [br]3YO [color=red]Ch. Princess Kaiulani (earnings $575,300, won 1 G1 race and finished 3rd in the Breeders’ Cup Mile), and [br]2YO [color=blue]Ch. Worthy Victor (earnings $843,000, won 6 races in 9 starts, including the last two legs of the Breeders’ Stakes 2YO Turf series - he finished 2nd in the first leg - as well as finishing 3rd in the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Turf).
All four will remain in training in 2016 so we are looking forward to many more top class wins from them, as well as hoping that some of our other horses will start earning their keep.
Our most accomplished horse was [color=red]Ch. Private Party, claimed from Final Furlong for $20,000, she earned $197,950. She raced only at the age of four and her career is: 25(5) 8(1) - 6 - 5 - 1. We’re planning to breed her to NCh. Player.
Stable rankings only apply if you’ve hit the top 10. You can find them on the Hall of Fame page. I’m not sure if they’ve been updated to 2016, so the data for this specific year may be gone already.
2015 was the best year CDS has had in Final Furlong so far. Nightfight’s foals were a huge part of our success, and some of our other horses really stepped it up in the big races. Breeders Cup day and the Breeders Series were awesome…hope it gets us some recognition in the Stables categories in the HOF votes this year.
