Changing our training methods is slowly improving our results. Sent out 5 and 3 hit the board.

[color=blue]Leather Lyon (4yo, Rumor Has It) was 3rd/7 in his NW3.
[color=red]So She Says (3yo, Rumor Has It) ran 3rd/6 in her OA.
[color=blue]Highland Devil (4yo, Devil His Due) ran 3rd/6 in his claimer and stays home.

Surprisingly good day out after a long time with few races.

Wins:

  • [color=blue]Sir Dane finally broke his maiden, 1/6 in SC. He did it impressively, too, by 18 1/2 lengths. Looks like he’s finally finding some form of stride.

  • [color=blue]Golden Warrior was 1/6 in a 20k claiming and stays with us.

  • [color=red]Sahha won her NW2 SC allowance for 3yo+ fillies - with an impressive speed figure of 101. Good girl! I picked her up for cheap a while ago thinking she’d be a broodmare if nothing else, and switched her to SC long ago when I figured she’d be a dud on the flat. Maybe she’s finally finding her stride.

Places:

  • [color=red]Astrophysics was 2nd to stablemate Sir Dane in her maiden. She still hasn’t broken it, of course, but for a filly who hasn’t come above last in any of her past starts, I’ll take it.

Thirds:

  • [color=blue]Despereaux was 3rd in a NW2 turf allowance with a SF of 112. He’s been doing well lately, and I look forward to seeing how much farther he goes as he matures.

Fourths:

  • [color=blue]Markus Maximus was 4th in a NW3 SC. He’s been doing really well since he switched over, and this is actually a bit low for him where he is in training right now.

Also Ran:

  • [color=blue]Hello Seattle was our only one out who didn’t finish in the money. I don’t really know what makes this guy fire yet; he’s got two decentish races under his belt and six also-rans, and I hope he’s just a late bloomer.

Trying to get back into posting here, life is finally less crazy.

Not our best day, but I’m really excited because one of our horses got 3rd in a Gr 2! First time doing that well in a stakes race!

[color=green]Wolverine (Giant’s Causeway) 3rd in NW3
[color=blue]Song of Eagles (Cryptic Ballad) 3rd in Gr. 2 San Antonio Handicap
He won his last time out, so hoping for good things from him this year!
