well sent out 4 , 2 fillies and 2 colts, the colts both ran third and the fillies both 7th. No clue what happened with the girls? Last night everyone’s energy and fitness were good. All were stakes entries.
[color=blue]Highland Velvet-6.5f Ungr. Best Turn Stakes for 3yo,Dirt - Fast,[color=blue]3rd finally showing he can run.
[color=blue]Magic Dancer-9.0f Gr. 3 Palm Beach Stakes for 3yo,Turf - Good,[color=blue]3rdthis guy has improved over his 2yo season!
[color=red]Pretty Lil Angel-7.0f Ungr. Charon Stakes for 3yo F, Dirt - Good,[color=red]7thno idea what happened here she is usually my most consistent filly?!
[color=red]Fighting Fish-7.0f Gr. 3 La Habra Stakes for 3yo F,Turf - Good,[color=red]7tha recent claim thought we would try her in a stakes race to see what she would do, she bombed!
eh day. Sent out 6, no one was spectacular, 3 in the money
Rose of Portland continues to flop, running 8th in her first SC race. Will start fiddling with equipment, hopefully steeplechase is her thing
Supa Kwik (High Chances) ran a disappointing 6th. She ran 2nd in her past few starts, not sure what happened this time. I’m thinking about switching her to SC, she had a decent jump workout
Cinnabar (What’s Your Point) ran 4th in the Best Turn Stakes. I’m happy with this, it was his first start in stakes this year
Nobleton (Point Given) ran a disappointing 8th in the Palm Beach Stakes. Not sure what happened, he ran 3rd in his last stakes start and had plenty of time off…
Starting Point and Burn It Down (both by What’s Your Point) ran 3rd and 4th in the Baldwin Stakes. I’m fairly happy with that, it was Starting Points first ever stakes start.
Attack Position started the trend by finishing a nice 2nd/14 in a dirt OA.
Endless Dawn rebounded today with a nice 2nd/13 in a dirt NW2 for 3yo’s.
Rahystrada made his first start today in six months. After breaking his maiden in late August he bowed a tendon during training. He made his comeback today in a dirt NW1 and finished a very nice 2nd/11.
Viscountess showed a lot of precocity as a 2yo, winning her first two starts. She was injured while winning her second start and since then after about 3 months off hadn’t been performing quite as well. She woke up a bit today and finished 2nd/14 in a dirt NW2. Hopefully she continues this upward trend!
After breaking his maiden last out War Party ran well in his first try against winners and finished a nice 2nd/6 in a turf NW2.
Firsthand Account was the highlight of the day though she too also followed the placeitis trend by finishing 2nd/12 in the G3 La Habra.
I had one out today. I just bought her recently, so I haven’t had a lot of chance to get her figured out, but she seems to have done decently enough in the races I’ve put her in so far. Placing 1st in the last one I put her in and 3rd in the race today.
Black Cherry was 7th. Not too worried. Soupy took some time to perk up.
Maya was 7th in her OA. Sigh.
Reprise was 2nd against the boys in her OA.
Ring of Smoke and Dreams of Glory went 1-3 in their maiden.
Notachanceinheck was 3rd in his OA. Bridezilla was 6th in the same race.
Higher Agenda won her Gr. 2.
Fabulously High was a disappointing 4th in her Gr. 3.
Queen of Sheba finished 6th in her Gr. 3 and came home with some heat in her leg.
Sent 5 out, all 5 came home with paychecks…so no complaints here!
5YO [color=green]SECRET SURPRISE (x A.P. Indy) was 1st in his claimer. Glad to see him still with us, and that he perked up for that race. I hope this will continue - he’s typically pretty consistant, and is really well-bred.
3YO [color=blue]IMPRIMIS (x King David) was 2nd in his claimer. He’s a homebred maiden, so I’m happy to still have him, and happy with his placing.
4YO [color=blue]PRESTIGE (x Cross Roads) was 4th in his NW1. He’s doing better this year, but I’m still getting frustrated waiting for him to perk up. His dam is gold-rated, and he is 1/2 to 4 different MSWs…and his sire is no slouch. So where is his engine? I think he’s being a rebel child.
4YO [color=green]NOTMYFIRSTRODEO (x Temptation) made a switch back to turf in another claimer, but this time he didn’t fare so well, with a 5th. It appears he prefers dirt, so we’ll try sticking with that from now on.
And newly leased 4YO [color=red]KISSING POINT (x Point Given) was 5th in her NW1. It appears we have quite a lot of figuring out to do, but she’s only just joined our team.
[color=red]Crownette finished 1st/6 in her NW2 allowance on turf, her track record is all wins so far. Love this filly!
[color=red]Your Chant was 1st/12 in NW1. Yay!
[color=red]Ch. Summer Morning was 4th/10 in Davona Dale Stakes. That’s ok.
