Hi All,
This is my first breeding season and I had 3 mares booked to Seattle Sorcerer. 1 was bred but now the other 2 have returned unbred. I checked the Stallions page and it would seem has though he has been retired mid breeding season.
Can anyone confirm that this is the case or do i have problem with my mares? If its just bad timing, I guess I just re-book to another Stallion? Any chance of a refund or just bad luck?
regards,
Merv.
You’re right. Seattle Sorcerer retired. Any mares whose bookings occurred after his retirement date are deleted. If the mares were bred ahead of schedule, they will become unbred and the stud fee should be refunded.
Your mares are fine. You just need to send them to another stallion.
Check your stable budget, you would see a refund there if its working
Actually, you won’t.
It doesn’t actively refund the breeding (as in, transaction A shows breeding to stud for $X, transaction B shows breeding refunded for -$X), it just deletes transaction A entirely.
You can still verify the refund, though, by searching your budget for Seattle Sorcerer. If only one entry comes up, you’re fine.
(It should be fine, but the code was a little buggy so I had to do transaction deletion by hand and I may have missed something.)
I’ve got several stallions available for breeding still if you’re in a crunch & can’t find any slots so late in the season.
thank you all for your responses, I will do some research and pick out the next best option!
regards,
