Almost an all-or-nothing day, with our horses finishing either 1st or Also Ran (with one exception).

We ran SO MANY HORSES today, many of my horses were running tired so I gave them some time off… Many had a ‘come-back’ race today and they rocked it! We sent 21 horses out, 12 were winners, 5 ran 2nd and 1 ran 4th. Which means only 3 of 21 horses were off the board! Pretty amazing

Wins
[color=red]Rendition (3yo, GCh. Akhetnaten) in a NW2 allowance after several months off
[color=blue]Null and Void (3yo, NCh. Void) in an open allowance
[color=red]Rose of Portland (4yo, Ch. Moonopoly) in an open steeplechase
[color=red]Night Catcher (3yo, ICh. Dark Continent) in a $25,000 claimer. She stayed with us
[color=red]Super Spectacular (5yo, Spectacular Bid) in a NW1 allowance, she FINALLY BROKE HER MAIDEN! All it took was switching to Steeplechase… Shesh!
[color=blue]Political Risk (3yo, Giant’s Causeway) in a NW2 allowance, he has been consistent
[color=red]Oh Artemis (3yo, NCh. Moonover Boy) in an open allowance after lots of time off
[color=red]Heavens to Betsy (3yo, FFCh. High chances) in an open allowance after several months off. Time to try a stakes again
[color=blue]Slews Chance (3yo, FFCh. High chances) in a NW3 allowance
[color=red]Nannys Trebbiano (3yo, GCh. Harvard Bound) in an open steeplechase allowance. Finally she is coming around
[color=blue]GCh. Lake Highlands (4yo, WCh. Highland Bandit) in the Gravesend Stakes, his 6th stakes win this year. This boy was definitely a late bloomer but I love it!

Places
[color=red]Victorina (4yo, A.P. Indy) is finally showing some life again… She’s run like such a flake, hopefully she keeps it up this time
[color=red]Desert Mirage (3yo, Point Given) In and open SC allowance behind stablemate Rose of Portland. OVerall she has had a fairly successful year
[color=red]Ch. Firey Dancer (3yo, WCh. All Jazzed Up) in an open allowance behind stablemate Oh Artemis.  I thought she would win this one, but the distance was shorter then her ideal
[color=blue]Ch. Nobleton (4yo, Point Given) in an open allowance behind Heavens to Betsy
[color=blue]Little Inclination (3yo, FFCh. High Chances) in the Gravesend Stakes behind stablemate Lake Highlands.

No wins today but some good things happened.

8 0-1-1-3 $20,600

[color=red]Ominous Sky was 2nd in a maiden.  Since I purchased her she’s been 2nd and 3rd in two starts.

[color=blue]Eye Of The Leopard was 4/6 in an allowance.

[color=red]Cryptic Kitten was 3/6 in a NW3.

[color=blue]Hero’s Fate was 4/6 in a NW3. [color=blue] War Effort was also 4/6 in a NW3.

[color=blue]Natomas was a solid 5th in the Gravesend Stakes.  I’m interested to see if he improves as a 4yo.

Back to the no-wins pattern.

Kim, glad to see the ponies are back with a bang. =) I’ve come to learn that you can’t underestimate the importance of Natural Energy. Plus a little training.

We did OK. Only undercards today.

Wins
Queen of Sheba (King David) continues to be a decent OA pony, winning an OA sprint.
Hopefully (Lasting Spirit) finally broke her maiden. WHOOT! It’s been a long 2yo season, and she hasn’t been able to win even in claimers!

Place
Spooked (Spock) was 2nd in her NW3.
Pyrrhic Victory (V is for Victory) was 2nd in her OA against the boys.
Halos and Wings (I’m Your Angel) was 2nd in her OA against the boys.
Here I Am (Created) was 2nd against the boys in her OA.

Show
Conceptual (Long Live the King) was 3rd after a long break.
Memorial Day (Stars N Stripes) was 3rd.
Saramenha (Octagonal) was 3rd in her OA.

Thanks Cat! NE has proven to be such a huge factor for me, and like you said, a little training goes a long way.

I’m sure you enjoy seeing a number of your studs foals starting to pick up

Heheh… Guilty as charged. =)
