12/07

We finally had a good outing after several bombings with 5 of 7 hitting the board.

[color=blue]Rock Stardom (4yo, Devil May Care) won his Starter Allowance.

[color=blue]Dandywine (3yo, Highland Bandit) ran 2nd/7 in his NW3.

[color=red]So She Says (2yo, Rumor Has It) was 3rd/6 in her NW2.

[color=red]Raspberry Kisses (2yo, Point Given) ran 4th/6 in NW3.
[color=red]Tallonian (2yo, Slew O’Scots) ran 4th/6 in her NW2.

Oh well, sort of bad luck continues.

[color=red]Ch. Iyaiyai 6th/10 in East View Stakes, first race after 7th place in Breeder’s Cup Juvenile Turf Fillies. I guess that she might need a longer break.

Currently none of my horses has a win in their most recent race, but only 3 of them are out of the money, so the bad luck is not that bad.

Haven’t posted to one of these in a while but I was just feeling so pleased as the breeder/owner of one of the runners I just had to.

2YO [color=red]Moonstone broke her maiden in a 7.5f NW3 on dirt. Tossed her in with a shadow roll and wraps for the hell of it and she came out of the gate running like a house on fire to a winning SF of 130. What.

She’s my second winner from this current 2YO crop. Maybe they’re finally getting the hang of running? Why am I cursed with slow developers, xD

4YO [color=red]Farewell to Arms placed 4th in a 5.5 Allowance for 4yo+ on dirt. Eh. Maybe it was too short a distance.

A very good day, with only one runner out of the first two (and she finished 3rd) and over $1m in earnings.

12(5)-5(3)-6(2)-1-0 $1,108,500

Wins
[color=blue]G.Ch. Hogwarts, (4yo, Magic Glory x Blarneystone Lane) 1/10 in the G1 Stadbroke Handicap in Australia. His 6th win thi year, all SW, including 3 G1W. He only needs 1 SW to become stud-qualified.
[color=blue]Ch. Hogsmeade, (3yo, Highland Magic x Blarneystone Lane) 1/5 in the G2 Highland Rogue Breeders’ Stakes at Aqueduct. He has now won both legs of the Steeplechasers Breeders Series so far.
[color=red]Crystal Warrior, (2yo, Black Warrior x Magic Crystal) 1/10 in the Ung East View Stakes at Aqueduct.
[color=red]Fool’s Kiss, (2yo, Foolhardy x Kiss of Indy) 1/6 in an NW3 at Aqueduct.
[color=blue]LiveLong&Prosper, (2yo, Spock x Inalillybit) 1/6 in an Mdn in Australia.
I think this is the first time since I started reporting on how my horses did that I’ve had two half-siblings winning on the same day.

Seconds
[color=blue]G.Ch. Lohan, (4yo, My Lucky Day x Thinking of Dreams) 2/10 in the G1 Stadbroke Handicap in Australia. He is the 21st Starfish horse to go over $1m in earnings for this year.
[color=red]DreamALilDream, (2yo, Smart Strike x Wonderful Dreams) 2/10 in the Ung East View Stakes at Aqueduct.
[color=red]Speak Your Piece, (2yo, Spock x Speak Up) 2/6 in an NW3 at Aqueduct.
[color=blue]The Pink Panther, (2yo, Cool Thief x Secret Society) 2/6 in an NW3 at Aqueduct.
[color=blue]Gaudy Night, (2yo, Prince of Wonder x Take the Challenge) 2/6 in an NW3 at Woodbine.
[color=red]Major’s Luck, (2yo, Major’s Flight x Lucky Lucky Lady) 2/6 in an NW2 at Woodbine.

Thirds
[color=red]Bowling Alley, (2yo, Alley Cat x A Fine Red Line) 3/6 in an NW2 at Aqueduct. A promising comeback after a 3-month layoff for a bowed tendon.

Not one of our best days, but ultimately it wasn’t bad.

8(2) - 2 - 1 - 1 -3(1)

WINS

[color=blue]Vive le Roi (2yo, Long Live The King x Bravodora) won his NW2, putting his record at 5(2-2-0) for the year.

[color=blue]GCh. Exit Poll (4yo, Irish River x Family Gold) won his OA, which he only ran in due to not having a suitable race for him.

PLACES

[color=red]Lady Katy (2yo, Stressed x Lady Kathleen) was second in her maiden, which is a step in the right direction. She is pretty new so she’s a puzzle.

SHOWS

[color=blue]Ponte Vecchio (2yo, Unabridged x Oh So Sharp) was third in his NW3 for a record of 8(2-0-2-2) this year.

FOURTHS

[color=red]Art of Love (2yo, High On Love x Art of Zen) was 4th in her NW2 for a record of 8(2-0-1-2) this year.

[color=red]Ch. D’lightful (4yo, High Chances x D’licious) was 4th in the G2 Backstage Pass Breeders’ Stakes.

[color=blue]Scotch Highball (2yo, Witness x Highland Madonna) was 4th in his claimer, where I successfully claimed him.

OFF THE BOARD

[color=blue]GCh. Mimic (3yo, I’m Your Angel x Slew Copy) was a disappointing 6th in the G1 Stadbroke Handicap. He’s a nice consistent boy with all of his G1 requirements achieved…he just needs 4 SW of any level to get qualified for stud.
