Bah, the way my horses are running right now, they wouldn’t even win a one horse race. Out of the 28 runners so far this month, we’ve had a grand total of 1 win, 3 2nds & 3 3rds.
We’ve not had the greatest start to November either. Only three out today but everyone picked up some prize money.
[color=blue]Knights Templar (2yo Dark Demand) was 2nd in his NW3. He’s going to have a holiday until the new year.
[color=blue]GCh Sionnach (4yo Giant’s Causeway) was 2nd in his OA. First try on dirt and didn’t do too badly.
[color=red]CH High Expectations (5yo Double Cross) was a decent fourth in the Long Island Stakes.
Apparently the way to win is simply lease Alyssa’s horses because my crew are not about to put in the effort, lol. 11 out, 6 hit the board.
WIN
[color=blue]Count Jack (5yo, Count Me In) in his NW3.
[color=red]D’lightful (4yo, High Chances) in her OA - leased from Ivy Creek.
[color=blue]Paradox (3yo, What’s Your Point) in his OA - leased from Ivy Creek
SHOW
[color=red]So She Says (3yo, Rumor Has It) in her NW3.
[color=blue]Heated Debate (3yo, What’s Debatable) in his OA.
Oh dear I keep selling colts in claimers. I’m now left with almost only fillies and mares!
2yo [color=red]La Rioja finished 2nd/9 in a maiden. Her best result so far, in a very competitive race for her. Another filly, [color=red]Daralhorra was 4th/9 in this race.
2yo [color=blue]C
Tell me about it. I have noticed that. It seems like ever since she started Leasing her horses out, every time one has run, it has won. Maybe that’s the trick. Have a baby and your horses become unbeatable!!! (Unfortunately for me, I’m the wrong gender for that and am also too old).
I have leased a number of her horses and should start running them shortly. Hopefully, they’ll continue her good record because mine have been running like donkeys in the last month or so (I think donkeys could run faster than some of mine)
Since I’ve started training my horses I’m beginning to win races! We sent out 6 today and four hit the boards!
[color=red]A Winter Affair (created) Broke her Maiden in the 7.5f NW1 allowance over fences.
[color=red]At The Roxy (TakeMeToHollywood) Broke her Maiden in the 10.5f NW2 allowance over fences.
[color=red]Exotic Garden (Ring of Fire) placed 4th in the 6.5f NW3 allowance on turf.
[color=red]Ain’t She Somethin (created) also placed 4th in her 10.0f NW1 allowance on dirt.
I am inclined to agree with you on that one. We had two out on the track originally.
[color=blue]Oedipus Rex (2 YO by ICh. Unabridged x Theatrical Lady) - an Ivy Creek lease - placed first in his NW2. I want to know what they feed their babies over there, because I could use some of that luck for my own horses.
[color=blue]Downbythecreek (4 YO by NCh. Stars ‘n’ Stripes x Downbythebay) placed 4th in his 10.5f Allowance. He seems to be a pretty consistent placer, but winning doesn’t really seem to be his forte, so we may be trying him on SC before too long.
Also successfully claimed [color=blue]Como Mola today (2 YO by ICh. Stressed x Flower Petal), who placed 2nd in his 8.5f claimer. He seems to be running pretty well for a 2 YO, so I’m interested to see what he’s got in him as he finishes his 2 YO year and moves on into his 3 YO year.
Overall, I’d say we had a pretty decent race day.
I just got around to reading this thread - I wish I could tell you there was some magic feed! At least hen I would know how to duplicate it. But I am glad they’re being helpful and bringing home some money for everyone. Thank you for sharing the results!
