11/5

Had an good day out today.  Two out, one stakes win, one 7th place finish.

Sound the Warhorn, our two year old colt who’s always placed well in his races, won his first race today, the 7.5f Gr. 3 Nasua Stakes race I placed him in on a complete whim.  So proud of our boy today!

Highland Valentine didn’t do so hot in her stakes race, coming in 7th, but you win some, you lose some.

We sent 4 out today and had 1 win 1 3rd and 2 out of the money.

[color=blue]The Crowd Roars (Nightfight) won his first race a 13.5 NW1 Allowance Over Fences. I got this boy as on overweight lazy colt. He was switched to Steeplechasing early with no results. I brought him home in July put him on a diet and started working him daily. He’s improved with each race, and I think we have found the surface and distance he likes.

[color=blue]Boston Legal (A.P. Indy) placed 3rd in the 9f NW1 Allowance on Dirt. Another colt we brought home that was fat and lazy, a diet and consistent workout has seen him improve placing for the first time in the money today.

Nice day.

3yo [color=red]Fine Glass won a NW3 in which [color=red]Times Of My Life, leased from Markos, finished 2nd right behind her.

4yo [color=red]Pan American, also leased from Markos, finished 4th/6 in her race, but with a very good speed comparing to her previous performances.

Yesterday was a very nice day for us. Five went out, four came home with paychecks.

[color=blue]Stormchaser (2 YO by FFCh. Foolhardy x Ch. Flash of Lightning) and [color=red]Queen O’Scotts (3 YO by ICh. Prince of Wonder x Sweet ‘n’ Sour), who have been leased from Ivy Creek Farm, both finished 1st in their respective races. Stormchaser has won 1st in both of his two starts, and Queen O’Scotts has 4 wins out of 5 starts under her belt, so I have high hopes for these two little beauties.

[color=green]Magic Appeal (4 YO by ICh. Magic Glory x Polly’s Appeal) placed 3rd in his 10.5f Allowance on SC.

[color=blue]Elasian (2 YO by ICh. Highland Magic x Eclipse) placed 5th in his NW3.

The only one who didn’t come home with a paycheck was [color=red]Slip in the Snow (3 YO by NCh. Slip In The Mud x Winter Joy), who placed 6th/6 in her 13.5f Allowance. I threw her on this track to see how she ran in endurance runs, but it looks like we should just leave her on the classic tracks.

I’m glad to see they’re doing well!
