Easter Valley Estate - Congratulations on [color=blue]GCh. Triomphe in the Gr. 1 The Galaxy. He now needs only 1 SW to become Stud-Qualified. He is by our Gold-Ranked sire, [color=blue]ICh. Magic Glory. When he does get qualified (which I’m sure he’ll do before the end of this year), please keep a spot with him open for one of my Broodmares.

Well done Lewis. Your horses really are flying.

Small scale here - just three runners out.

[color=blue]Dance World (3yo Take Me Away) won his OA.

[color=red]Romance N Honour (3yo Alley Cat) won her starter allowance.

[color=blue]Dark Spell (3yo Highland Wizard) was third in the Lawrence Realisation Stakes, his first stakes attempt.

Great day here:

9(3) - 5(1) - 1(1) - 0 - 0

WINS

[color=red]Takin The Highroad (4yo, Highland Wizard) won her NW3, earning her second speed record to boot. Look for her in stakes soon - she looks like she’s going to try to live up to her pedigree (1/2 to Call To War).

[color=red]Ch. Always Ladylike (4yo, Giant’s Causeway) won her OA in typical fashion.

[color=blue]Harrison Ford (4yo, Witness) won his starter allowance while setting his second speed record. He also will be aimed at stakes next.

[color=red]Allnighter II (2yo, All Jazzed Up) won her NW3.

[color=blue]Ch. War Chest (3yo, War Chant) won the G1 Doncaster Handicap, his second G1 win, third total stakes wins. Look out, he might be aiming to earn his studhood at this rate…

PLACES

[color=blue]Ch. Mimic (3yo, I’m Your Angel) was second in the G1 Australian Derby. He seems to enjoy playing bridesmaid.

OFF THE BOARD

Art Of Love (2yo, High On Love) was 5th in her NW2.
Ch. Sweet Home Alabama (3yo, I’m A Classic) was 5th in the G2 Gallant Bloom Stakes.
Ch. With A Fleurish (4yo, Gimme A Shot) was 7th in her OA.

One of the most exciting race days ever for me!  I doubled the money in my bank and became a Millionaire! (Although I don’t think the millionaire status will last for long, as I will probably drop a good chunk of change on a supplemental Breeder’s Cup nomination for my 2yo filly, [color=red]Fights Just Begun.)

3(1)-2(1)-0-1-0 $622,500

The $50,000 entry fee was a little scary, but I knew that to become stud-qualified, [color=blue]GCh. Triomphe (5yo, Magic Glory) would have to win a Grade 1 stakes race.  And he won The Galaxy today!!  As Lewis said, he only needs 1 more stakes win to be stud qualified, which is also very exciting!

(Thanks, Lewis, for your congratulations and confidence in his future wins!  I may keep racing him next year, as earning this much cash is pretty exciting, but consider your spot reserved for whenever he retires to stud!  I love [color=blue]Magic Glory, by the way - in my opinion, he’s one of the best bargains in terms of the stud fee:quality ratio, even before he turned gold, and I bred 2 of my mares to him this past season.  There don’t seem to be many other strong steeplechasing stallions at stud either, at least at the prices I could afford!)

[color=blue]Forest Guardian (3yo, Oscillation) won his NW3 over jumps, his second consecutive win.  I was hoping to keep this guy at the NW3 level for a while, as I don’t know how he’ll fare in OAs.  Might have to geld him.

[color=green]War Effort (7yo, Created) put in a decent performance in his NW3, placing 3rd.  He’s for sale for $2,500.

I am so, so happy for you & Triomphe!  I’m glad I sold him to you - he’s clearly thriving under your management.  I never could get him to recoup his energy for races under the system I use.

You better bet that I’m rooting for that last stakes win!
(And also that I’ll have a mare or two to send him each season if he gets it)

Congrats!

Thank you, Alyssa!  I’m glad you don’t regret selling him!

Same here! Congrats on Triomphe!

Also, Congrats with Venture His Due, Lewis.  Super happy you figured him out. He’s the most successful colt by my stallion Devil His Due.

Thanks Holly. I bought him because we already owned a half-brother of his, [color=blue]NCh. AndLikeThatHesGone, who has earned over $1.5m and who is now stud-qualified. Ch. Venture His Due has already won 3 SW, including 2 G1W and is only 3, so he has a great chance to emulate his older brother by becoming stud-qualified, too. Although [color=blue]AndLike… has proven to be best as a Steeplechaser, I don’t know if I’ll switch [color=blue]Venture.
