1/7

Pretty good day, including a 2nd in a stakes race, which is practically unheard of for us. :wink:

[color=blue]Must Be Silver and [color=blue]Full of Promise were 2nd and 3rd in their maiden.

[color=blue]Paparazzo was 3rd in his maiden.

[color=blue]No Contest and [color=blue]Gold and Gems were 2nd and 6th in their NW1.

[color=red]Hidden Lake won her NW2. :smiley:

[color=blue]Highland Star won his NW2. :smiley: [color=blue]Devil’s Chance was 9th in the same race.

[color=blue]Well of Magick and [color=blue]Count Rugen were 3rd and 8th in their NW2.

[color=red]Brightest Light was 3rd in her first race since breaking her leg last year. She came home with swelling, though, so she’ll get some time off again.

[color=red]Perfect Princess is 3 for 3 with her win in a NW3. :smiley:

[color=red]Celtic Cross won her allowance. :smiley:

[color=red]Ring of Darkness was 2nd in her NW1.

[color=red]Bandit’s Love and [color=red]Sable Princess were 2nd and 11th in their NW2.

[color=red]Calanais was our stakes star, finishing 2nd in the Pro or Con Handicap.

[color=blue]Buenos Aires was 8th in the Warwick Stakes.

18 out, 4 wins, 5 off the board. Not too bad.

Today was less successful then the 4th, but still not bad. Today alot of the horses I haven’t quite figured out were running ::)

Princess Pride (High On Love) ran 6th in a dirt maiden. Haven’t figured her out, she may be a SC runner.

Rose Of Portland (Moonopoly) ran 14th, also haven’t figured her out.

Angelius (I’m Your Angel) bombed and ran 12th, not sure why. He may need a rest at the farm.

Cinnabar (What’s Your Point) ran a solid 2nd in an allowance. His best placing so far, hopefully he keeps it up!

Carat (Highland Bandit) ran 7th in a SC allowance. I thought she would love the distance and the equipment, may be time to retire her.

Sunday Paper (Sunday Silence) was the highlight winning a SC allowance which was quite long, 15f, the longest he has ever run. This boy LOVES to jump, I need to find him a stakes race.

Hishi Natalie (Boldness Shows) ran 7th, she has run very very little, needs some more time and fiddling.

Spirit Moon (Lasting Spirit) ran 4th in a claimer. I claimed her for $15,000, I like her breeding

Ace Of Hearts (Highland Magic) ran a solid 4th in the San Pasqual Handicap. It was a big field and the pack was quite tight in the front. I’m happy with his run.

Only three out, but it was a good day.

[color=green]Silver Cross says he’s not finished yet. He ran 1st/11 in the 8.5f dirt Grade 2 San Pasqual Handicap. Opening the year on a strong note - I hope his 5-year-old season is as good as his 4-year-old one.

I also sent out two five-year-old mares to see if either look like they’re slowing down. Happily, [color=red]Moon Eclipse (created) ran a solid 3rd/6 in an 8.0f dirt allowance for 4yo+ F/M; if she keeps bringing home paychecks, I’m more than happy to keep running her.

[color=red]Laurey Williams (Omaha (S) x Play On (S)) did not fare quite as well. She ran 7th/8 in a 6.5f dirt NW3 allowance for 4yo+. If she doesn’t pick up in a couple more starts, she’ll be joining our broodmare string, which I’m actually quite excited for, so either way I’m happy! :slight_smile:

Sent out two, came home with three  ::)

[color=blue]Baringa had his first try over fences, finishing a close 6th in a full OA field. Hopefully he can improve on that, might need a drop in trip.

[color=red]Send Me Flowers was touched off by a nose in an OA for older mares. Hopefully she’ll get her head in front soon.

Claimed [color=red]Sleep Easy for $5000. A previously unraced daughter of Rumor Has It, from the family of Demand The Best, she finished a close 2nd.

Not too bad a day.

Mixed results, with some nice surprises from the weaker horses. Brief Contact, Noridana, Opinionator and Memories Of Home are consigned to the Clicker Lab Auction.

[color=red]Get A Life - 1st/6 in her 9 furlongs NW3 Allowance for 3yo+, steeplechase. She’s not the fastest of horses but does well at her level. [color=red]Mimosa Lake was 4th in this race.
[color=red]Melodramatic - 2nd/6 in 15 furlongs NW2 Allowance for 4yo+ on dirt.
[color=red]Brief Contact - 4th/12 in 7 furlongs NW2 Allowance for 3yo+ F/M on turf. [color=red]Noridana was right behind her. They are both consigned to the Clicker Lab Auction, which starts this Friday!
[color=blue]Opinionator - 6th/14 in 5 furlongs NW2 Allowance for 3yo, on dirt. He is also consigned to our auction.
[color=red]Belleau Wood - 6th/8 in 8.5 furlongs Starter Allowance for 4yo+ on turf.
[color=red]Memories Of Home - 11th/14 in 7 furlongs NW1 Allowance for 3yo, on turf, and she is consigned to the auction too. [color=red]Alchaasibiyeh was 12th in this race.
[color=red]Miracle Drug - 12th/14 in  9.5 furlongs NW1 Allowance for 3yo.

Oh I hate this iPad!! It erases my writing all the time!

Sent out 5 horses and came back with 6, claimed an unraced filly by the fighting fifty, and ended up only making $9k. Lol, and I have bids in Jasons auction , I’m going to be broke! Time to sell somebody! I just can’t resist a pretty face!

[color=green]Sunday Glory-15.5f Allow,4yo+,Dirt - Good,[color=green]7th again think it was just a little too long
[color=blue]Blood Lance-15.0f Allow,4yo+,SC - Fast,[color=blue]12th think this was a bit too long.
[color=blue]FlashOver-6.5f NW3 Allow,4yo+,Dirt - Good,[color=blue]5th not the finish I hoped for but sticking to his stablemates heels at least he got a check.
[color=green]Just Go Wicked-6.5f NW3 Allow,4yo+, Dirt - Good,[color=green]4th his first start under our colors not bad for a new guy,with his stablemate right on his heals.
[color=red]Fighting Fish-6.0f Claiming,3yo,Turf - Good,[color=red]2nd not sure about her name but her pedigree caught my eye as I have none of this bloodline, although being an unraced 3 yo she proved she is a fighter!
[color=red]Cardinal Sin-7.0f NW2 Allow,3yo+ F,Turf - Fast,[color=red]8th don’t know what happened here she won her last race easily.
6-0-1-0-1 $9,000

Hey Grace, I wanted Fighting Fish too! Good luck with her!

Coleman Branch had a pretty stellar day, made more so when compared to last year’s dismal record (Date With Destiny’s performance aside).  The two year-olds who couldn’t seem to find their legs last year look like they might have figured out how to run a little at three.  We sent out thirteen and came home with eight paychecks.

[color=red]Gotta Fly and [color=blue]Massacre doubled up in a NW1 9.5f for 3yo’s.  They finished 1st and 3rd respectively, with the filly likely to move up in class and the colt seeming to want more distance.

In the second of five dual-entry races for us, 3yo’s [color=blue]Banners of Silk and [color=blue]Tiz Wonderful continued to be sources of frustration, though we’ll take Tiz’s 5th place finish over Banners’ 7th any day of the week.  They ran 9f in a NW2.

[color=red]Sylviianel returned to her money-earning ways by finishing 3rd in a 9.5f NW3 for 3yo’s.  Looks like she might want more distance as well.

5yo [color=red]Silent Turn found the winner’s circle again after a lengthy dry spell.  We tried some new equipment and it paid off as she wired the field in a 10f Alowance.  Our boy [color=blue]Stonewashed finished a nose behind her in 2nd.  He’ll be pointed at a longer distance next time out.

[color=red]Date With Destiny finished 10th in what will be her last start as a racehorse.  We wanted to see how she would fare as an 8yo, but it seems she’s ready for her next career.  She has a date with Gilded Saint in a few weeks’ time.  We’re all mixed up emotionally, as we’re sad to see this champion mare retire but excited to see what she might produce as a broodmare.  [color=red]Fairy War finished 8th in the same race, indicating that 15f is a bit too long for her.

[color=blue]Aeronautics wired the field in a 6.5f NW3 for his first win since we claimed him last year.  He’s a create and we’d like to see him do good things.  [color=red]Catching Moonbeams finished last in the same race.  We’re still trying to figure her out after a successful 2yo season led to her being out of the money most of the last year.

[color=red]Taking Vegas went unclaimed and off the boards in her 8.5f event.  She’s running good speed figures, so we’ll keep playing with her equipment/distance and hope she fires.

Finally, we claimed a pretty filly by The Fighting Fifty in [color=red]Ultimate Folly.  We’re hoping she contradicts her name and goes on to be a good runner.  She got a good start by winning her 6.0f claiming race.

Here’s hoping for many more race days like this one in 2016!

Very blegh kind of day for us. Though I guess I can’t complain they are few and far between!

Fawkes (Devil May Care) was one of the few who performed well, he finished a nice 3rd/14 in a turf NW1 for 3yo’s.

Ifalike (Point Given) was the highlight of the day with a win in a turf NW2 for fillies and mares. Don’t want to get my hopes up but I’m getting excited about this girl. She’s still eligible for NW3’s and ideally I’d like to finish getting her through her conditions then try a stake and see what happens!

Rolemodel (A.P. Indy) also ran decently though I’d hoped for better from him, 4th/14 in a dirt NW2 for 3yo’s. He’s only had one start on the turf, his debut, so I might try a surface change and see if he perks up.

Let’s just say bleh. Hopefully, better luck on Wednesday.
