1/28

Sent 9 out, 4 on the board and picked up a claimer who ran decent.

Spirt Moon (Lasting Spirit) ran 3rd/11 in a SC maiden. A decent run for her, may start trying some equipment see if she can run just a little quicker.

Daydreamer (Gimme A Shot) ran a disappointing 9th. Can’t figure this boy out, ran him on the exact same distance/surface a few weeks ago and he ran 3rd. He’s temperamental like a filly!

Rose of Portland (Moonopoly) bombed running last… If she doesn’t pick up the pace soon i’ll be switching her to SC

Anex (Almost Home) bombed as well running 12th in a NW2, not sure why. Maybe she can’t keep up with the boys.

Avondale (Irish River) ran an OK 4th in a NW2 allowance. I switched his equipment and he made an improvement over his previous starts.

The Duke (Sneak Peek) bombed as well running 6th/6 in an allowance. Not sure why, he ran well with the same equipment and surface a few weeks ago.

Victorina (A.P Indy) ran a disappointing 7th. This was her first start this year coming off a small injury. As a 2yo she was never unplaced running on turf so hopefully she can pick herself back up.

Gunnerside (Irish River) was my $15,000 claim. He ran 3rd, I picked him up because I really like Irish River and Gallant Fox (on his dam’s side).

Alfalfa Sprouts (Cigar) made me proud winning a NW3 allowance. This filly is so unpredictable but hopefully she can continue running well.

Ace Of Hearts (Highland Magic) was the highlight winning the Sunshine Millions Sprint. This was his first grade 1 win, hopefully he keeps it up!

6 out, 4 in the money.

[color=red]Golden Spirit won her maiden  :smiley:

[color=blue]Ganymede finished a close 3rd in his OA against other 3yos. Really pleased with this effort.

[color=blue]Mission Possible finished 4th in his NW3 and wasn’t beaten far. [color=red]Coldenoughforsnow finished 8th in the same race.

[color=red]Send Me Flowers bombed in the Sunshine Millions Sprint. Back to allowance for her.

[color=blue]More Than Magic was 4th in his claimer and stays with us.

We had an AWESOME day! Sent out 12 and 8 hit the board, and we won our claim.

[color=blue]Pepper Bomb and [color=blue]St. Elmo’s Fire ran 7th and 3rd respectively in a NW2 field of 12. Pepper might be more turf, and Elmo wants more distance, I think.
[color=red]Ekosian ran 2nd/7 in a NW2.
[color=blue]Personable Joe ran 4th/10 in an OA.
[color=blue]Rocket Smoke and [color=green]Bold Personality ran 3rd and 10th respectively in an OA of 11; Rocket I think needs shorter and Bold hated the dirt.
[color=green]To Alaska won his OA of 9 impressively and will aim for a stakes next time out.
[color=red]Cherokee Princess ran 3rd/14 in a Maiden.
[color=blue]Field of Diamonds ran 2nd/9 in a claimer and stays with us.
[color=red]Ordinarily Yours ran 3rd/6 in a NW1.
[color=red]Broken Smile ran 5th/10 in a NW3.
We successfully claimed [color=red]Regal Countess for 10k. She ran last in a field of 6, but we mostly went for her as a broodmare prospect, being by Count Fleet (been after a Count Fleet daughter for AGES). We’ll try her 2-3 more times and if she doesn’t do much, she’ll join the broodmare band.

6 out, 1 win, and we successfully claimed a 3yo colt (who finished 5th).

Win from [color=red]Takemetothewizard, who’s 2 for 2 this year. :slight_smile:

On Wed a bunch of stakes ponies are going out, so the results should be dismal. :wink:

Well mixed bag and brought home another claimer, sent out 5 and came back with 6. Put a claim in with an eye to the broodmare shed and she handily won!  ;D

[color=blue]Epic Montage-8.0f NW3 Allow,4yo+,Turf - Good, [color=blue]3rd such a good boy always tries to bring home some money.
[color=blue]Franklin-9.5f Allow,3yo,Turf - Good, [color=blue]10th I don’t know if he didn’t like being in a race with a stablemate or what he didn’t try at all.
[color=blue]Golden Heist-9.5f Allow, 3yo,Turf - Good, [color=blue]5th he didn’t give a fig about his stablemate he was trying his best to win money and did get a small check.
[color=green]Worth A Peek-9.0f Allow,4yo+,Dirt - Good, [color=green]7th not sure what happened here it should have been right up his alley.
[color=red]Mai Tai Princess-9.5f Claiming ($10,000) for 4yo+ F, $15,000 Dirt - Fast , [color=red]1st my excellent claim, she very handily won her race, I didn’t think I would get her,I had an eye on the future bidding on her!  :slight_smile:  her dam-sire is the Black so I thought I’d lose this one.
[color=blue]Magic Dancer-7.0f NW3 Allow,3yo+,Dirt - Fast,[color=blue]3rd was a boys club in this race, the three colts left the geldings behind, he’s still finding his stride so I’m happy with his finish.
6-1-0-2-0 $17,350

Our Australian claimer [color=blue]Smokin’ Star ran 1st/6 in his NW2 allowance on turf, which he won by  4 3/4 lengths. Hopefully he will keep this performance when he starts racing against stronger competition!
[color=red]Jorghinia was 1st/9 in a claiming race, which turned out to be quite competitive. It’s her first win ever, after being unplaced for a long time. We’re hoping for more money making runs in Starter Allowances.
[color=red]Alchaasibiyeh was 2nd/6 in NW1 Allowance for 3yo F on turf. She’s testing our patience with many unsuccessful runs, making us dislike Alley Cat’s offspring.
[color=red]Ch. The Woman In Black ran 3rd/13 in Sunshine Millions Sprint, making us very proud. [color=red]Ch. Private Party was 9th in this race.
[color=red]Unseen Sky was 3rd/9 in open allowance on dirt, in which [color=red]Melodramatic, usually much better, was 7th.
And there was one steeplechase, in which [color=red]Tilted Kilt ran 4th/8 and [color=red]A Revolution ran 5th.
No claim today, but we’re still celebrating our last won claims so maybe it’s better this way!

Middling day
[color=green]Reafan came 9th
[color=green]Valiant Effort came 11th, he’s getting one more chance before he gets thrown in a claimer
[color=red]Dark Charm did better, but needs to realise that the idea is to lead them past the finishing post, not follow the leader placidly in 2nd

Blegh. That is all.

Sorry I’ve had those days too. :frowning:

Yeah, haha luckily they haven’t been occuring too often lately!
