1/21

well we sent out only 4 and had only two checks. I made a great claim when I got the filly by fighting fifty only her second time out and she broke her maiden! Two of my regular runners just bombed and followed at the tail end of their races. Oh well.

[color=red]Fighting Fish-8.0f NW1 Allow,3yo, Turf - Wet ,[color=red]1st came out of the 6th PP into first and wired the race! So happy only her second time out and beating the boys to boot!
[color=red]High Wire Dancing-13.5f Allowa,4yo+ F,Turf - Wet,[color=red]13th
[color=red]Magic Carpet Ride-13.5f Allow,4yo+ F,Turf - We, [color=red]14th Not sure with these two both were ready to go, maybe they don’t like to get their hooves muddy the length should have been ok.
[color=blue]Highland Velvet-6.5f Allow,3yo,Dirt - Good,[color=blue]4th not too bad he’s not a consistent horse yet but being by Laird I’m hoping he eventually gets it.

Didn’t send any out but came home with one  ::) [color=red]Mischief In Motion is a 4yo mare by Tiznow out of a half sister to What’s Debatable. She won her claimer.

Not sure whats up with my ponies, since the new year alot of them haven’t been running very well… I mean it wasn’t a terrible day, sent 7 out, 3 in the top four, 4 in the money, but I know they can do better… I’ll start with the good first

Gniess One (Boldness Shows) - WON her claimer and fortunately wasn’t claimed. This filly had been driving me crazy, looks like she may have just wanted to run on the dirt.

Olivine (As You Wish) - ran 2nd in a NW2 allowance. His first start of the year after an injury so i’m happy with him.

Cinnabar (What’s Your Point) - ran 4th in an allowance. It was a big field and a longer run then he was used to so i’m happy with that. Diamonds In Air (The Black) was also in the race and ran 6th. I tried him on dirt for the first time, he didn’t like it!

Trippi Bree (Crystal Rainbow) - ran 5th in a NW3 allowance. She won her previous start which was a very very similiar race so i’m not sure why she didn’t run so well this time… She may need a little break

Angelius (I’m Your Angel) was a flop running 8th in an allowance. This boy is going to drive me nuts, he seems to be moody and unpredictable.

Deep Blue Sea (I’m Your Angel) also ran poorly running 6th in the San Marcos Stakes. It was a big tough field and it was longer distance wise then he was used to. Guess this boy is a sprinter.

Sad that we missed out on our claim, but we had a pretty decent day otherwise.

[color=blue]Field of Diamonds ran 5th/14 in a NW1. We’re still trying to figure him out.
[color=red]Irish Miss was 2nd/6 in a NW2. We might give her a go in stakes.
[color=red]Hot Nurse was 7th/14 in her Allowance. We might have to experiment with her a bit.
[color=blue]Dublin, a new lease, ran 6th/7 in an OA and we know he can do better.
[color=blue]Moonstorm started off the year well with a 2nd/6 NW2.
[color=blue]A Knight’s Tale ran 3rd/9 in an OA.

Sent a bunch out today. 17 in total!

[color=red]Uncharted was the first winner of the day in her NW3. [color=red]Gotta Be Royal was second in the same race and [color=red]Maranotha was fifth.

[color=blue]Letmeentertainyou had his first start over the jumps. He managed a second. Might drop the distance slightly next start and see how he does.

[color=blue]King Richard was third in his allowance. [color=blue]Just A Lil’ Star was just behind in fourth.

[color=red]Bay of Biscay was a disappointing fifth and [color=red]Madam President an equally disappointing sixth in their first starts of the year in the El Encino Stakes. Hopefully it was just first start jitters!

[color=red]Nefertari also disappointed with a fifth and [color=red]Gal From Seattle way back in ninth for their first starts of the year in the San Marcos Stakes. Again, hoping they perk up. Wet track might have had something to do with it (Gal From Seattle hates anything worse than a good track).

The Roman Consul Stakes saw three of my horses run. [color=blue]Abu Simbel did the best with a nice win. [color=blue]Aficonado was solid in fourth with [color=red]I’m Your Demon just behind in fifth.

The Furious Stakes saw another three run. [color=red]Kowhai was brilliant again winning her third stakes of the year and third straight. She’s off to Santa Anita for the Sunshine Millions Oaks next start. [color=red]I’m A Diva was a very solid second. [color=red]Pure Silk Lady, my award winning 2YO from 2015, only managed seventh. She’ll try a turf stakes next.

Last but not least, [color=blue]I’m No Fool won his second Manikato Stakes. He won this last year and placed the year prior. He jumped up to fourth on the earnings board with this win. His final race of his career will be his next start in the Barretts Stakes. I’m really, really going to miss running this brilliant horse!

So finished with: 17(11)-4(3)-3(1)-1-2(1) $418,150

Blah - 9 out, 3 in the top 2, everyone else nowhere close.

[color=red]Mount St. Helens won her NW3.

[color=blue]Highland Star won his NW3.

[color=red]Ella Fitzgerald was 2nd in her allowance.

Tried another claim on [color=blue]Washingtonian, so good luck to Cricket Hill with him!

Much much better day today than the last couple of times out.  Two out, both in the money, both unexpected.

[color=red]Teenage Temper placed first in her 7.5 furlong NW3 race.  She was a spontaneous buy last week and I had debated going ahead and retiring her to brood, then decided to let her race a little longer to see how she did.  This was, obviously, her first race with us, and I think she’s gonna stay racing for a bit longer.  ;D

[color=green]Hunter placed second in his NW2 allowance.  I’m sure he’d have done better for me over the last few years, if I’d remember to put him in more races more often.  Hopefully I’ll manage to do better this year.

Big success, our first stakes win this year.

[color=red]Ch. The Woman In Black - 1st/14 in  8.5 furlongs El Encino Stakes on dirt, in which [color=red]Unseen Sky was 7th.
[color=red]Get A Life - 2nd/10 in 8.5 furlongs Allowance Steeplechase. This created filly is improving a lot recently.
[color=red]Alchaasibiyeh - 2nd/6 in a claimer on dirt, and she stays at Clicker Lab.
[color=red]Ch. Private Party - 3rd/14 in 7 furlongs Allowance for 4yo+ F/M on dirt.
[color=red]Southern Saga - 4th/6 in 7 furlongs NW3 Allowance for 4yo+, a Steeplechase. Slightly disappointing.

Only sent out 3 with one finishing in the money

[color=blue]Ice Legend and [color=red]Bold Firefly finished 6th and 9th of 14 runners in their 13f NW3 Allowance on dirt.

[color=red]Waltz Gang finished 2nd/6 in her 12.5f Allowance. She now has earned her GCh. Title, making her my first and only horse to reach this title!

Congrats, Mesa! :slight_smile:

Thank You so much. I really am proud of her.

A good day for us, had a few that threw in suprise clunkers but ended up as a good day overall.

Watagan Wildcat ran well in an OA against the boys to finish 3rd/7.

Alabama Tea ran a game 2nd/14 in a dirt NW3 for fillies and mares.

Starsfallonalabama put in a good effort to run 3rd/14 in a dirt NW2 for fillies and mares.

The highlight of the day was Clicker Is Quicker’s win in the G2 San Marcos at Santa Anita. He’s turning out to be quite a nice claim!
