We took a gamble with running [color=blue]NCh. Llwynog (7yo, Spock) in a $50,000 Claiming Race in the hope that a drop in class might reignite his interest in racing (he only needed 1 SW to become Stud-Qualified). We figured that the chances of another Stable Claiming him for that amount was slim. Unfortunately, we lost that gamble and he was claimed by Denoux Stud (sorry Emma). Good luck to them. Hopefully, a change of scenery will help him to get the last SW needed.
I think I remember seeing 3 or 4 claims in the database for him. 
Apparently quite a few people are willing to gamble on getting a nice stud cheap, provided he can get that last win.
Ahahahah yeah I decided to take that gamble! Didn’t think I’d get the claim! I figured it would be something interesting to try. I’m sending him home for a couple months to see if he’d like some downtime, then he’ll hit the track again in the spring.
Our day wasn’t that great, but considering the large fields, it could have been worse.
