What does it mean?

What does it mean when a jockey comments that the “horse was unresponsive”?  I also found it weird that when I went to view workouts for the day the horses workout did not show up with all the rest and the workout was not displayed in red when the workout was run either.  Just curious.  Thanks.

Even though this thread is 3 years old, I have this same question. I’ve never gotten a comment saying “_______ was unresponsive” before. My best guess is maybe it’s for NE?

I only have seen it once, so I too am curious haha

I’ve seen it a couple times. It may have to do with rating, if not NE. I just play it safe and ship the pony back home immediately.

I had to look it up because its been so long since I wrote that code, but it actually relates to low confidence of the horse. (“Was willing” is high confidence.) Confidence usually doesn’t affect races but can be a factor in head to head finishes (along with courage).

Oh… I though ‘Was Willing’ is a horse at around middle Natural Energy/Moral, inbetween Raring to go and Lackluster, as in Willing to Run. Is there a comment that means a horse is of average NE?

Yeah that’s “was willing to run”. Didn’t realise they were so similar. ::) Will fix that in the rewrite.

Ah haha I guess I just took in the word ‘Willing’ and not the bits around it. Handy to know!

Good to know. Thanks!

Thank you! I also didn’t even notice the two different “willing” comments.

What does the “no interest in running” comment mean, while we are on the subject?  It’s the first time I’ve seen it.
It’s on a mare that I presume to be past her prime anyway, but I didn’t know if that’s related.

That’s low NE/morale.

There are no comments about immature/has been status.
