They're Growing!

I was just looking over my weanling and I noticed that they’re all growing :astonished: ;D

I never thought about it before I guess I just thought that at the end of the year they’d take a jump.

Yuh, I’ve been monitering my racehorses since a bunch of them are all growing still.

The growth script is smarter than that, Paul.   It only does 1 inch increments, but the horses do constantly grow.

Just never really thought about it, but it’s cool ;D kind of like watching my kids grow up.

Ok something strange happened with one of my fillies.  Aint Afraid To Die was 14.2 hands like all year.  I had put her at the barn just to grow up, shes only 2, but I decided to lease her out to Bam just to keep her in shape.

Shes 15.1h now.  She was 14.2 the day I leased her out, because I checked to see if she had grown any before I set her up. ???  How in the world did she pack on 3 inches pretty much overnight?

She probably hit a growth spurt.  Horses’ heights go in ranges by age (babies, 2yos, 3yos, etc, with the assumption that most horses will be full grown by 3, unless they’re super late bloomers).  So she may not be full grown yet, but she hit one of the plateaus for a while, and now she’s hit her 2yo height.

Aah ok.  I was under the impression that they would only grow 1 inch at a time, so it shocked me a little to see her pack on 3.

No, they just grow in increments of 1 inch, so they don’t end up 15.1 1/2 or something.

Ooooh I see now. ;D  Yay for fail moments!
