Not a bad year in as much as we only had 3 stillborns out of 142 potential foals, however, if you add in the 3 deceased mares and 1 deceased stallion, as well as 9 retired mares and 2 retired stallions, that made it a pretty brutal year for our stables.

Two more foals overnight. We had bought the mares yesterday in the Denoux auction and they were already in foal. They both gave birth overnight.

Well, this is interesting!
One of our mares, Classic Fires, passed away during the night. She had produced a foal on May 14th of this year and was in foal to LiveLong&Prosper, with the foal due in early March of next year.
What is interesting is that the foal was born this morning and that, even though it is 5 months premature, it is already 9.1 hands.
