I went to bid on Phenomenal in the Select Auction. Before I tried to place my bid, he had a high bid of $2m. I put in a max bid of $10m and got a message that “Your current bid must be greater than or equal to $2,001,000”. When I “Click here to return to the auction summary”, it is now $10m, even though nobody else seems to have placed a bid on him.
I had a similar thing happen with NCh. Run Jenny Run - Previous high bid was $1,000, my max was $5m, new high bid is $5m.
I have placed bids on three more horses. The Pennysurprise weanling, the Indy Girl yearling and the Indy Girl weanling. My bid for the Pennysurprise weanling was the first bid for her and it is showing as the high bid at $1,000. The two Indy Girl foals already had opening bids of $1,000 each on them when I bid on them and the high bids for both of them have jumped to $50k, my max bids.
It looks like if a horse already has a bid on it and somebody puts a higher bid on it, instead of jumping up to $1,000 more than the previous high bidders max bid, it jumps to the current high bidders max, whereas if a horse doesn’t have an opening bid on it, it only starts at $1,000.
Hopefully this information will help to figure out where the bug is.
I had a similar thing happen in the recently completed November Auction with Al-'Ula (jumped from $1,000 to $1m).
BTW - The high bid on Phenomenal has now jumped up to $15m with Denoux the current high bidder.
I wasn’t trying to go so high LOL but it doesn’t seem to be taking into account that I bid that high just to see where it would go.
I apologize, I’m having trouble articulating how the auctions work because its been a while.
Usually when I bid high on a horse, it lets the other person keep bidding until they reach a stopping point and they do not want to go further.
I bid on Phenomenal at $2mil for starters not knowing what Lochiedo’s high bid was, but it told me you must bid higher than 2000. My bid went through anyway.
Instead of my bid being $2k, it went straight to $2mil. Then Starfish bid $10mil, so I wanted to go higher, but it seems to be skipping the other persons highest amount.
If I’m not making sense let me know lol FF is one of my little things to take my mind off everything, but I spent all day writing a legal memo and my brain is dead.
uhhhh @Shanthi - Select Auction bug
Okay I currently have 6 bids on horses in the Select Auction and when I’m view the Auction bidding page it displays the correct information for the horse, but the page title name is different and when I actually click the link to view the horse it goes to that horse. Hang in there with me while I explain this lol

I’ve got bids on two that’s are now showing that Renegade has outbid me, but the current max bids they’ve got in (as per the bidding summary) aren’t anywhere near my maximum bids (appreciate they may well have bid over my max but it may not be showing properly)
I was able to bid on horses last night without issue. I was outbid on a few and went to put in new bids but the site won’t let me bid on those same birds, just horses I haven’t submitted bids for. There’s no error, the field to submit a bid is just gone.
I am able to bid again! But a few new weird problems…
The actual auction page showed I had the top bid on a horse at 1k, but my auction watch page showed I had lost the bid. I placed a new bid of 55k, then got this error:
Yeah, it’s incorrectly showing the minimum as the current bid, not the maximum bid. The actual behaviour is working though (mostly).
I need to fix it so that if you bid the same as someone else’s max bid, they still keep the bid. Hopefully I can fix both issues at the same time. Might be tomorrow, though, I’m out of energy today.
