Quick question, haven’t come across this yet.
If you have a horse that is not on the list of 20, but is nominated to the Breeder’s Series and the last day of entries come and the field is short can you enter?
No, sorry. Only the top 20 are eligible to enter.
I’ve noticed that the 2yo limit (1 per race) is still in effect. Is there any way to get this changed to the Breeder’s Cup (i.e. however many qualify)? Or at least up it to two per stable?
The same entry rules apply as always. You can enter 2 2yos on the last day of entry (3 horses for 3yo+), but not before.
The reason it doesn’t match the BC is to encourage breeders to sell their stock so that more owners can enter the horses bred by that stable. 
But… but… I can’t help my hoarding habits…

I can’t hoard. I’ve got 42 yearlings, 56 weanlings and 93 mares in foal…
Yeah… my huge 2yo crop this year has made it a pain to find races since they all love the grass. I’m going to have to find the strength to mend my ways. 29 yearlings, 44 weanlings and 57 mares in foal. Not nearly as bad as you, Jason, but I’m getting there.
Same here most of my babies love turf and I have to shuffle unless there are filly races, that helps on occasion, I have 38 broodies,21 yearlings and 35 Weanlings.lol. Hey Jason do you have a decent looking yrlg colt you’d part with? I need a good stakes colt, most of mine are all girls! Lol.
I’ll be selling 22 of the yearlings in an auction in January

I figured that was the answer. 
Works for me anyway as the BS doesn’t work with the schedule for the horse in question.
Have you ever though of expanding the list for more horses or letting FF-bred horses enter again? It’s pretty sad seeing these races go with 4 and 5 horse fields.
That would mean FF would probably win the series which kind of defeats the purpose!
Where can I see which horses are eligible for the BS races?

Oh wow thanks I have 2 qualified 2yo fillies On turf and one (#7)needed to race bad so I entered her! Yay! Now to keep fingers crossed, if the spot is open my second one will be entered too (#10) the day before.
Apparently I have one qualified for the 4yo turf. Not sure if he’ll run, I’ll see how he is tomorrow and how many others are entered.
Just a suggestion, I know in 2011 my created filly was eligible to run in the Series.
Might have been a bug with the system 
I think FF horses are allowed in the qualifier list/race, but FF itself is ineligible to win any points in the series.
