Homework Help: AP US Gov. eeeek

What I believe we need is a humble leader. A leader who does not think that she/he is from a better culture than the rest of the world. The most important role, in my opinion, of a president is his/her foreign relations role. We need a leader who knows what diplomacy is and can have relations with foriegn countries and not boss his way around the world. Bush cares little for other countries rights and we need a leader who is a little more…balanced. That’s what I want for Christmas

…also we are NOT a monarchy, and yet certain families seem to be the main players in this country. That is one reason why I do not want Hilary as President(albeit a woman would be very nice!), enough with the Clintons, the Bushs etc. WE NEED NEW BLOOD!

…other than that I disagree with you Jason about the Cold War, the U.S. was defending the rights of other countries to have a democracy if they wanted…being a patriot of your respective country is never bad…and I can’t say I look forward to the decline of my own country, the U.S. which might only serve to give rise to even more “tyranical” powers(gasp!) but we definitly need to take a more neutral approach to the world (which goes back to needing a humble leader)

Wow, thanks for all the information Taylon, I can see you are truely passionate about Government. I’m browsing through the links you provided right now. Should be a huge help.

And thanks for everyone else’s input, I’m not going to get into it right now but I’m also against the war in Iraq. I have this great picture of protest signs from when I visited London over the summer(2 weeks before the bombings). One shows a stick figure holding a gas pump thing to his head like a gun. Very powerful.
