Fitness Problem?

And you’re complaining why?

I don’t mean to be snarky, but really…horses gain energy overnight and lose fitness overnight. Also, as has been stated about a million times, the letters they get for their levels have error built-in. There have been no changes to how this works (other than minor tweaks to make training more effective) in years, so the chances of this suddenly being buggy are pretty slim.

Your horse could have been a low C on race day, moved up to a mid-B overnight, and display as an A.
For fitness, he could have been a low D pre-work, moved to a low-C post-workout (displayed as B), and then gone back to a D overnight (displayed as an F).

I think it’s a matter of the consistency. I haven’t changed anything with my horses, but suddenly their E/F went haywire. I exercised them all with gallops every few days (whenever their energy went back to B or A), and their Fitness was never affected. Always A, except with the rare exception when I’d neglect to train for a week (then, they’d drop to C, maybe). But suddenly, all I’d have to do just walk them, or maybe jog them a couple miles at 50% or 70%, and their Energy might drop to B or C, and fitness would stay at B or A. A few hours later, when the time change goes by (and E/F gets updated), everyone would be at A energy and F fitness. Just doesn’t make sense. Doesn’t matter if someone skipped a session or went a full breeze at 110% for 6 furlongs, everyone would be at A energy and F fitness the next day, when in the past, “normal” was C or D in Energy and A in Fitness. Everyone has been shipped to the farm for the past month because it was depressing me, but shipping to the farm hasn’t worked in the past. I’ve tried ignoring Fitness (since I’ve heard it said, at least once, that it doesn’t mean much anyway, that Energy means more) but that gives me subpar race results.

I don’t think anyone means to be crabby about this, but there’s definitely something off that needs to be investigated.

If you think it’s something that needs looking into then the best thing to do is report it on the bug system. Shanthi will then look it into it for you. If there is a problem then I’m sure she’ll sort it out.
