Also, first bug is its not letting me enter if the horse is not at the track already, even if they could be shipped in time.
A post was merged into an existing topic: General Feedback on New App
Oh, I canāt wait to try out entering in the new app. Thanks for all the work Shanthi!
I think I might have noticed the first bug here:
None of my entries have transferred, lol.
When I look at details I see this:
Both of these horses have never been injured in their careers so have no injuries showing up on their horse pages.
If it helps, this is my setting on injuries:
I need to know what horse, what race, etc. It does search for horses based on whether they have a way to get to the track in time (given shipping options, cost of shipping, etc).
Should be fixed. I had the logic backwards. ![]()
Thank you Shanthi! I really appreciate all the work and swift bug solving youāve been doing! I canāt enter them in the race on the 18th anymore but I can do other races now, so it seems to have helped.
I have another observation that isnāt so much a bug, but a request.
When I enter horses starting from their page:
Clicking on āenterā leads to this page:
Meaning I have to search for the horse who I just wanted to enter. I was expecting that when you enter from the horseās page it would lead to enter that specific horse straight away. This is also what I would prefer
Not sure if itās still on the planning or I have done it the wrong way, but just wanted to voice the preference in case other players agree and itās a possible adjustment coding-wise. ![]()
Yeah, Iām still pondering how I want to set this up. I wrote race entries from that race page, and future entries based on races that arenāt open, and only at the last minute did I remember that Upcoming Races in the old app used to show the current open races.
Can I check my understanding re: scheduling entries. My energy levels to enter races is currently set at āBā or above, does this also mean I also canāt schedule entries for horses if their current energy is below this? Iām just wondering if I need to adjust my levels as I canāt seem to enter or schedule anything for the horses I want to at the moment.
Yes and no.
You canāt enter a horse in races if their energy level is below whatever setting you have set as the minimum for races (which is optional, by the way, so if you want to enter all your F energy horses tomorrow thatās fine).
You can schedule future races, but if you have an energy level minimum set AND you have the āapply these minimums to future entriesā flag set (the last setting in the list), then the script that does auto entries will check the energy level when doing auto entries and if it is below the level youāve set, it wonāt do the entry.
Thatās basically a safeguard, so that you can say āsure, let Bob race in 7 days in race #10ā, but if Bobās energy (for whatever reason) is still in the toilet, he wonāt just get entered anyway and run on zero energy.
Again, also an optional setting, so thereās nothing stopping you from entering / scheduling future entries for all your F-energy horses if thatās how you want to do it.
I was looking at my stable scheduled entries and I have a bug and a suggestion.
The bug:
Clicking on Scheduled Entries yields:
![]()
The suggestion:
My stable home page does lead me to the entries for 4/29:
Iād love to see this expanded and also display the horseās energy/fitness. I know we can now automate it in the new app, but I kinda of like to do it by hand depending on the horse/how long it hasnāt raced/etc. Sometimes I simply use a race to gain some experience, so lower energy isnāt the problem it would be in a big stakes race.
I still seem to be having trouble with entering races. For example, I tried to enter Cupboard Love in Race #7, 5.5 Furlongs Dirt NW2 Allowance for 2yo F, $15,000 (Aqueduct) for 4/25. According to the site I have no horses eligible to be entered in that race, but I think it should be several, including above mentioned.
I just scheduled a few horses without problems, so this might pertain solely to either the races for which entries are open or two-year-olds specifically. Not sure which is the case, but scheduling older horsesā entries worked fine a few minutes ago.
Should be fixed - it wasnāt happy with unraced horses.
It seems the only races I can enter are if my horse is at the exact track of the race Iām trying to enter.
Please ping me with who youāre trying to enter and when/where so that I can debug. As it involves shipping I donāt want to just randomly enter horses places to see if it works.
Iām pretty sure that Iāve seen this on one of the other Features threads so please forgive me if it has been covered before:-
When looking at the Current Race Entries (see below)
could we please see the Energy/Fitness stats as well?
One thing I noticed is that the surface is listed in the Race column, as well as having itās own individual column. I understand that you wouldnāt want to remove the Surface column because people might want to sort by that column and donāt know how difficult it would be to strip the Surface out of the Race column.
BTW - If you try and sort this screen by the Race column, it does weird things with single digit race numbers, e.g, if I sort by that column on the above Race Entries, Race #8 is at the bottom of the list, instead of at the top. I know thatās because the code is treating that column as a Text field, so itās not going to be easy to fix that (not that itās a major deal, anyway).
It appears this has resolved itself lol but if I come across any more that I have trouble entering, I will return here.
For the current entries page is it possible to add back the energy & fitness levels? Usually thatās how I decide if Iām scratching someone and having to go to another page will just take longer.
Done.
I tried to enter Sweynesse into a race in England, and got an error ānot at the trackā:
2026-05-02 Sweynesse England Race #13, 9.0 Furlongs Turf NW3 Allowance for 3yo, $20,000 Turf Error: Not at the track
Heās at my farm and I probably wanted to ship him to England when heās entered (automatically). I then tried to enter him manually, but got an 500 - Internal Server Error. So I tried to enter him in a race at Aqueduct (which is close to my farm):
2026-04-29 Aqueduct 8.5 Furlongs Turf NW1 Allowance for 3yo, $25,000 Turf
and got the same error.
Should be fixed - I got a bit overzealous with clearing out the old database tables.
