I was really happy for Monomy Girl, but was hoping for Swiss Skydiver to win. Sad she got hurt!
Also sad about all the 3yos that are retiring this year. This retire after the 3yo trend in America needs to end

Meanwhile in FF land, I’m wondering if my nice 6yo mares can keep it going so I don’t have a sudden flood of new broodmares.
I’ve been reading through the book on Secretariat, and they mention in that book the fear that the horse’s value will plummet if they start losing or get injured later in life. I imagine the “retire at 3YO” trend stems from that. Just retire them once they’ve gained enough value so that they don’t lose their value with a mishap. FF definitely has a different culture. Lol.
