9/5

Well made back some money today with a few “what happened” moments.Sent out 11 with 6 bringing home money.

Wins
[color=red]Fools Fruit in an OA , SC for 3/f

Places
[color=blue]Set It Off (Nightfight ) in an OA for 2yo, only losing by a neck!

Shows
[color=blue]Riverton Heights in An 11.5f, SC, OA in Australia
[color=red]Artists Studio in a short SC for 4+ f/m, leading stablemate below to the finish line

4ths
[color=red]Devils Grace following close on the heels of her stablemate, poor girl still just 2 pts from GCh!
[color=red]Societies Best in a mixed Nw-3 For 3yo

A couple of fillies that are usually in the money were way off their game today, along with a few huh! Moments. :confused:

Rather ouch for us. Sent out 8 and 3 hit the board. One was sent home, another put up for sale.

[color=red]Witch’s Point ran 1st/6 in her NW1.
[color=blue]Rock Stardom, whom we just purchased from Meara Stables, also ran 1st/6 in his NW2.
[color=red]Hot Nurse managed a 3rd/13 in her OA.

Only one out today, but he made us proud. :slight_smile:

[color=blue]Ch. Highland Sorcerer won his G3 by a whisker. He’s now ranked #1 for Breeder’s Cup nominees in the juvenile turf category, so it’s good we finally just took care of nominating him. ::)

In belated news, my favorite pony [color=red]GCh. King of Gondor was fourth in her G1 last week. This might otherwise be relatively ho-hum news, but she was the only filly in the top four of a big field, and I feel more optimistic about her chances in the Breeder’s Cup considering just how fast some of the other nominees are!

Blegh.

Kicking myself over [color=blue]Virginia Challenge. He ran in 11.0f Starter Allowance for 3yo (SC) and he was in first place the entire race until the last stretch when he ran out of steam, taking 2nd/6. He actually tried to break his maiden, and of course the race was too long.  ::)

[color=blue]GoToThe Devil ran in 8.0f Allowance for 3yo+ (SC) and placed 6th/14. Disappointing… he’d been doing well this year until this race.

2yo filly [color=red]Gentle Charlotte finished 2nd/11 and she remains a maiden, but keeps improving from race to race.
Unfortunately, [color=red]Your Chant finished just 9th/11 in Grade 1 Gazelle Stakes. But the competition was really tough.

I knew I shouldnt have sold Lohan(glad he’s running well for you). Lol every time I sell a horse it runs better for the new stable! Go figure. :slight_smile:

Not bad today.  13 of 15 in the money with 2 worth talking about.

[color=blue]NCh. Sponsored got his motor running in the G1 Woodward Stakes.  He thought Star Spun’s tail was pretty out of the gate but eventually got his nose in the game and came out in front.  He now would have been stud qualified under the old rules as well with this 10th stake win.  Hope he has staying power like his daddy tho!

[color=blue]NCh. Crowned In Dreams ended up the bridesmaid once again the the G1 Man O’War Stakes.  He definitly has enough stakes places now, lol.  Just need those last 3 illusive stake wins. :wink:
