9/24

we sent out 13 horses today and 6 decided to take the day off, but the rest did pretty good including a G-3 win by my 2yo Nightfight filly, and a second in The G-1 vosburgh stakes!

[color=red]Breakthrough-(high chances)5.5f NW1 Allow,2yo,Dirt, [color=red]7th usually in the money I guess she just decided to follow behind Sugar to the finish .
[color=green]SugarHearts Secret-(as you wish)5.5f NW1 Allow,2yo,Dirt, [color=green]5th first time with a check, not only was he gelded but he’s in the auction, scared straight! Lol.
[color=blue]Highland Velvet-(highland laird)5.0f NW3 Allow,2yo,Dirt, [color=blue]7th still trying with this guy maybe he’s a late bloomer
[color=red]The Chance 2 Dance-(high chances)6.5f NW3 Allow,2yo,Turf, [color=red]3rd pretty consistent for a 2yo.
[color=blue]First Prospect-9.5f Allow,3yo+,Turf,[color=blue]3rd pretty good boy usually brings home some money
[color=blue]Worthy Ruler-16.5f Allow,4yo+,SC,[color=blue]3rd  fought back and forth with the 2nd place horse to just fall back at the wire, he’s in the auction.
[color=red]Fools Fruit-(foolhardy)5.0f Maiden,2yo F,Dirt, [color=red]8th She came to us unraced tried both surfaces once each so far no preference shown for either…
[color=blue]Riverton Heights-(Irish river)8.0f Allow,2yo,Dirt,[color=blue]8th still looking for what he might like going back to turf next race
[color=blue]Blood Lance-13.0f Allowance for 3yo+,SC, [color=blue]5th at least he brought home some money and ignored his stablemate and left her behind
[color=red]Devilish Intent-13.0f Allowance for 3yo+,SC , [color=red]14th still figuring out this girl maybe too long a distance
[color=red]Nightlit Haze-(Nightfight)8.0f Gr. 3 Arlington-Washington Lassie,2yo F,Dirt,[color=red]1st not only did she wire the race taking the lead from the 10th stall, this win brought her up to champion status!

Not good. [color=red]Memories Of Home ran her second maiden for 2yo fillies and came 6th. I think that it can be a confidence issue, because her first two races were Grade 1 stakes (and then we claimed her from Final Furlong).

Some good, some bad for us today. Sent out 8 horses, 5 in the money

2yos
Avondale (Irish River) was my little rock star today, winning his maiden. His first time on the board, lets hope he keeps it up!

Anglesite (I’m Your Angel) ran 4th in her 2yo allowance. I expected better but what can you do

Gniess One (Boldness Shows) ran 8th in his 2yo allowance. Not sure what was up with that, opposite of his run a few weeks back

Lumberjack (What’s Your Point) ran 4th in the Arlington-Washington Futurity. Not bad for his first stakes race

Solo Sunset (War Chant) ran 8th in the Arlington-Washington Lassie. I probably threw her in a stakes too soon, but I was curious how she would do.

3yo+
Bamboo Diva ran 1st in her allowance. Very happy with that, she seems to like slightly longer races.

Fruitloop ran 1st in his SC allowance. Also very happy with him, he seems to really have taken to the switch to SC. May have to start looking for a stakes.

Alittlebitextra ran 9th in her SC allowance. I tried her on a longer distance SC, she didn’t like it so i’ll be switching her back to shorter ones.

Another pretty good day for us, 5 out with two coming home winners.

Viscountess went into the G3 Arlington-Washington Lassie undefeated in two starts. I knew it was ambitious putting her in here after an almost 3 month lay-off due to injury. My fears proved to be correct as she came in 7th/13. Though not a terrible result, we feel she’s much better than where she finished. She’ll take a step back in company next out to get her confidence back.

Tiz A Damsel made her first start for us since we purchased her for $10k a few weeks back. After we bought her we shipped her to the farm for a few weeks rest and brought her back today in a Turf NW1 for 3yo fillies. She responded by wiring the field, 1st/6.

Ifalike made her first career start after we purchased her from the Annual Select Auction. She impressed us by stalking the pace and perservering in the stretch to win by a neck. 1st/6.

We are pleased to announce with Nightlit Haze’s win that brought Nightfights progeny to 7 2yo Champions! In addition to her win  Ardiente (vaucluse owned) and Hopes Fight brought home 2nd and 3rd in the Arlington-Washington Futurity.
Nightfight is now back to Gold status at 8.2 points. :slight_smile:

And another totally crap race day. :frowning: 4 out, best finish was an 8th place. Come on, ponies.

Not great here either :frowning: Three out, one managed a 4th place and that was as good as it got.

Aridente refuses to win a damn stakes race!
