9/22

Pretty awesome day! Sent out 8 and 6 hit the board.

[color=red]Witch’s Point ran 1st/6 in a NW3. She’s now won her last 2 starts.

[color=red]Anne Boleyn was 2nd/8 in her NW2.
[color=blue]Jade River ran 2nd/6 in a NW3.

[color=blue]Candied Roses (2yo, What’s Your Point) managed 3rd/8 in a NW3.
[color=red]Belfast Belle was 3rd/6 in a Starter Allowance.

[color=red]Crack the Bell was 4th/8 in an OA.

Also-rans: [color=red]Magic Lable was a lackluster 9th/14 and has been shipped home; [color=red]Sun Godess was 11th/14 in her OA and came back with heat to boot. Been trying to sell her (I’m pretty sure she’s ready to make babies, but I don’t want her for my broodmare band) so I’ve lowered her price some.

All horses tried hard.

[color=blue]Ch. Gold Tic won his open allowance for 2yo and earned a title. This was just too easy for him. But he still needs to win some stakes to be really awesome :wink:

[color=red]Chalula One finished 2nd/14 in a maiden for 2yo fillies in Woodbine. Again! She runs really good in all those maidens, but winless. We still need to find her running style, though.

[color=red]Your Chant finished 2nd/7 in open allowance for 3yo fillies. We’re trying to figure out her best equipment and such things, to make her more consistent.

[color=red]Embellished finished 6th/13 in Grade 1 Flower Bowl Invitational. There were many more experienced horses, so this is a really good result for her. Next time will be something easier.

We sent 9 out.  Unfortunately, only 8 came home with us, but that was a risk we knew we were taking.

2YO homebred [color=blue]Whiskey Charmer (Silver Charm) finally broke his maiden in his claiming race, and then went home with Krajina.

3YO [color=blue]Cuchulain (Irish River) won his NW1 by an astounding 15 lengths, earning a speed factor of 259  :astonished:, which earned him a speed record for 11.5f turf.  We’ve been slowly figuring out what this boy likes, and I think this day was a huge step in the right direction - looks like we’ve got a long distance turfer!

4YO homebred [color=green]Notmyfirstrodeo (Temptation), a recent stakes winner and my first ever homebred, won his open allowance.  He has blossomed into quite a guy.

2YO homebred [color=red]Comedy Queen (High Chances) ran a very close 4th in her maiden.  I’m still trying to get this girl to fire, but mom did best at 4YO, so maybe this year won’t be her year.

2YO homebred [color=blue]Mood Indigo (All Jazzed Up) ran 2nd in his maiden.  He has place-itis, bad.

3YO homebred [color=red]Girlfight (Nightfight) ran 2nd in the ungraded Schenactady, making her multi-stakes placed.

The highlight of the day was 3YO homebred [color=blue]Allinvain (Worth My While) winning the G1 Turf Classic Invitational, his first ever stakes race (and the difficult G1 win!).  I threw him in a whim, and really didn’t know what to expect.  Hooray for surprises!

4YO homebred [color=red]Oh So Proud (Highland Pride) ran a strong 2nd in the G1 Flower Bowl Invitational.  This is the second half of my 2012 foal crop (with Notmyfirstrodeo), so I’m super, super happy to see them both succeed.  I’m glad that my first filly will be such a worthy addition to my brood band someday.  :slight_smile:

4YO [color=red]Afterglow (Affirmed) ran 4th in the G1 George Ryder Stakes in mixed company.  I’m happy with this - she’s a strong runner, but it was a tough race.

Sent out 8 with 4 bringing home money.

[color=blue]Thru Traffic (giants causeway) WON his 9f OA by a neck. Not only breaking his maiden but showing he likes longer distances.

[color=red]Cops Fever 3rd, in an 11.5f mixed Nw-1, she was the first filly behind a gelding and colt respectively.

[color=red]Dejeuner (giants causeway) 4th in an Nw-2 sprint for fillies

[color=red]Graceful Flames 5th in a 10f OA, think she needs a little shorter.

Again, mediocre day.

[color=red]Champagne On Ice ran in 15.5f Allowance for 4yo+ (SC) and placed 2nd/7. She hasn’t placed under second for me yet!

[color=blue]GoToThe Devil ran in 10.5f Allowance for 4yo+ (SC) and placed 4th/14.

[color=red]Eloquence ran in 7.0f Allowance for 3yo+ (SC) and placed 4th/14.

[color=red]Secretsofthesky ran in 7.5f Maiden for 2yo (T) and placed 7th/14. Still unplaced.

[color=red]White Picket Fence ran in 7.5f Maiden for 2yo F (T) and placed 8th/14. Still unplaced.

[color=green]Easy Launch ran in 5.0f Allowance for 3yo+ (D) and placed 10th/11. Might be time for retirement. Poor guy just doesn’t have it anymore.

[color=red]White Sand Beach, (3yo, Almost Home x Dayatthebeach) 7/13 in the Ung Schenactady at Belmont behind stable companion [color=red]Giant’s Debate. She will have one more race before a final determination will be made as to whether or not to nominate her for one of the Breeder’s Cup fillies/mares races.
[color=blue]GCh. Worthy Victor, (3yo, Worth my While x Decisive Victory) 11/11 in the G1 Turf Classic Invitational at Belmont. A very disappointing performance. He will be sent back to the Farm for a rest then will head back to Belmont for the Breeder’s Cup.
[color=red]Ch. Play My Game, (5yo, Magic Glory x Heiress) 9/13 in the G1 Flower Bowl Invitational at Belmont.
[color=blue]GCh. Cup O’ Tea, (5yo, Stagehand x Whistlin’ Dixie) 10/14 in the G1 George Ryder Stakes in Australia. Although he only beat four home, he was 4 lengths behind the winner. He will have one more race before a final determination will be made as to whether to ship him to Belmont for the Breeder’s Cup or leave him in Australia to try and get the last SW needed to make him stud-qualified.
