9/21

Fantastic week.  Or awful week, since there were quite a few who were WAY off the board.  It was pretty much all or nothing this week.

All the Right Move finally seems to have perked up.  She finally broke her maiden.

Idolized won, a once in a blue moon event, over a full allowance field.  Maybe she’s finally matured?

Timbuktu and Ask Directions went 3-4 in their OA.  Not exactly what I has hoping for from Tim, but a paycheck’s a paycheck.

Arizona Dream and Circle of Trust when 5-8 in their OA.  Sigh.

Nolanda was an uninspiring 8th in her OA.

Notachanceinheck was outclassed in the Gr. 1 Turf Classic, but he held on for 5th.

Toast of the Town won the Gr. 1 Flower Bowl Invitational and earned her millionaire status.  Stablemate Maya ran 4th.

Really pleased with Amazonian Spirit.  He won the Gr. 2 Pago Pago Stakes, his first one ever.

So really, fantastic week here.

Much the same kind of results as Cat, our guys either ran really well or really bad. :stuck_out_tongue:

Betrothed made her first start in over a year and her first start for us since we purchased her from the Select Auction. She wired the field in a dirt maiden for fillies and mares and came home in front by 2 lengths. 1st/6

We recently leased Bockatay and she made her first start for us today in a turf NW1 for fillies and finished an encouraging 2nd/7.

Double Luck seems to be back on form knocks on wood since winning an OA last out she finished a determined 2nd/14 in the Ungraded Schenactady.

Her past 6 starts Romantic Memory has been facing stakes company and holding her own. We sent her home for 2 weeks rest and figured we’d bring her back and give her a bit of a breather and hopefully a confidence boost in an OA for fillies. It seemed to work as she gamely fought off a challenge deep stretch to win. 1st/6.

Not too bad overall; several finishers from today decided their BC fate, though.

2yo
[color=blue]Personable Joe (A.P. Indy) finished 2nd/8 in his NW3.
[color=red]Daytona Weekend (A.P. Indy) ran 5th/9 in her OA.
[color=blue]Spirit of Autumn (Lasting Spirit) ran 4th/8 in his OA.

Recently-purchased [color=green]Rite of Passage made back his price by finishing 3rd/6 in a NW2, with stablemate [color=blue]Moonstorm 4th.
[color=green]Scrambled Egg continues to flop for no reason and ran 8th/14 in his OA.
[color=red]Luv a Drama finished 8th/12 in her OA and has been sent home for rest.
[color=red]Hot Nurse ran 2nd in the G1 George Ryder Stakes.

Pretty good day for us. No wins, but 3 of our 4 runners brought home cash.

[color=blue]Leverage was 4th in his allowance.

[color=blue]Rumplestiltskin (Highland Magic) was 2nd in his allowance.

[color=red]Devil’s Price was 7th in her maiden. :frowning:

[color=blue]Buenos Aires was 2nd in his NW3.

Definetely better than last Saturday. We claimed a cute 2yo filly [color=red]Mattie North by Point Given, and she finished second in her race. She will start some training in Woodbine.

[color=red]Brief Contact - 1st in her NW1 Allowance.
[color=red]Love Signal - 1st in her NW2 Allowance. Not a big surprise as she’s a Grade 1 stakes winner, so that was just to build her confidence. [color=red]Traveling Prospect was 2nd in this race, which gives us a quinella :slight_smile:
[color=red]Miracle Drug - 2nd in her Maiden for 2yo fillies, among 14 other horses.
[color=red]Wedding Reception - 4th in NW2 allowance steeplechase in Calder.
[color=red]The Woman In Black - 5th among 14 fillies in Schenactady stakes.
Leased [color=green]Glorification - 7th in open allowance steeplechase.
[color=blue]Bartimaeus - 13th in Turf Classic Invitational

Not a bad day. No wins either, but a decent percentage hit the board… and, an unexpected place!

[color=blue]Set On Fire managed a show in his allowance. He seems to have inherited his parent’s endurance preference, but has yet to show a real preference for surface… I’m personally rooting for SC, but we’ll find the lowest class turf endurance first.

[color=red]Notoriety (No Duplicate), [color=red]Sardonyx, and [color=red]Nonchalant (No Duplicate) kinda floundered in 5ths and 6ths, but they were all entered in higher qualifying classes… but! They seem to be figuring things out. Slowly.  :stuck_out_tongue:

[color=red]No Alibi and [color=red]Magical Kisses (Must Be Magic) ran neck and neck in their maiden for 3rd and 4th, respectively.

[color=red]Payday, [color=blue]Gotta Be Nice (Gotta Go), [color=blue]Sovereign Ruler, [color=red]Party Crasher and [color=red]Silk Cut are still finding their running legs. Like silly 2 y/os, they all finished off the board…

[color=blue]Peak of Perfection (No Duplicate) was a nice surprise. He fought for a place in the G.1 Turf Classic Invitational! We’ve been pulling for this guy for awhile and entered him in this race after his recent impressive allowance win (expecting him to be pretty outclassed). He’s finally reached millionaire status, which is great! His dam, A.P. Diamond had a stellar 4 y/o year over SC, so we’re hoping that he finishes the year on the turf and possibly transitions to SC in the following year.

Sent out 16 horses and had some very disappointing runs , and a few surprises, am really upset with Kichiro totally bombing his stakes race,I probably won’t run anyone in the BC races at this rate, I wont have the money unless my auction does well.Some of these horses are in the auction.

Good day - just two out.

[color=blue]I’M NO FOOL added his 11th grade one to his impressive record with a win in the George Ryder Stakes. He’s now just one stakes win away from becoming only the sixth Final Furlong Champion (joining his sire). He is also equal third for the most stakes wins overall (with King David at 25 wins). I’m super happy with him and even happier I finally bred a ‘monster’. He’ll have a couple of starts before the Breeders’ Cup races.

[color=red]MAKEMEAMATCH had her first start for me in the tough Flower Bowl Invitational (Gr.1). She managed fifth which isn’t too bad given her last start was early May. She’ll try a lower grade stakes next start - she’s only five points off Grand Champion status.

Meh, I sent four out today and only one came back on the board.

West Coast Rose- came back with her first win ever, and her second time picking up a check for us, good girl!

My other boys were all coming back off of layups,so give them some more time and see how they do.
