9/19

Mediocre day.  :-\

[color=blue]Virginia Challenge ran in 8.0f Starter Allowance for 3yo+ (SC) and placed 3rd/11.

[color=blue]Bold Dreams ran in 8.0f NW3 Allowance for 4yo+ (T) and placed 4th/6.

[color=green]All Is Holy ran in 9.0f Allowance for 4yo+ (T) and placed 6th/8.

Definitely a mixed bag across the board, but mostly mediocre. Sent out 12 and half hit the board, but most were in the 3rd/4th range.

[color=blue]Rock Stardom has now won 2 in a row with us, scoring in his first OA. Might try him in stakes company next time.
[color=blue]Macau ran 2nd/6 in his NW1 but cut himself, so he’ll be resting until October.
[color=blue]War Letters came off a long break to finish 3rd/6 in an OA.
[color=blue]Glory of Love ran 3rd/8 in his OA.

[color=red]Ekosian managed a 4th/6 in her OA.
[color=red]A.P. Goodyear made her SC debut with a 4th/8 in an OA.

6 runners, 3 wins, 1 third, 2 also rans

Winners
[color=blue]Magic Roundabout, (2yo, Magic Glory x What’s That About) 1/6 in an NW2 in Australia. His first win.
[color=red]Ch. Boundless Train, (3yo, Strike It Rich x By Honor Bound) 1/5 in the G3 Pucker Up Stakes at Arlington. Her second SW in her last three races. She will have one more race before heading to the Breeder’s Cup.
[color=red]Ch. Hi Honey, (3yo, Foolhardy x Cherokee Accent) 1/5 in the G1 Rosehill Guineas in Australia. Her fifth SW and seventh win overall, all this year. She will have one more race before heading home for a rest, then on to Belmont for the Breeder’s Cup.

Third
[color=blue]GCh. Attheheartofitall, (6yo, Alydar x Blazin’ Hearts) 3/6 in an OA in Australia. His first paycheck for us this year.

Also Ran
[color=red]Finally, (5yo, Alley Cat x Foxfire) 11/12 in an OA at Arlington.
[color=blue]DoubleOrNothing, (5yo, A.P. Indy x By Honor Bound) 6/8 in an OA at Woodbine.

[color=blue]Attheheartofitall was bought by Marshall Creek Farm after his race. We wish them the best of luck with him and hope that they manage to get him the SW needed to become stud-qualified.

Two stakes entries.

[color=red]GCh. The Woman In Black finished 7th/10 in Townsend Mischief Stakes. I hope that it was just some bad luck! She seemed well prepared.

[color=blue]Ch. Al Mundhir won the Grade 2 Jamaica Stakes and earned his Champion title. I wasn’t planning to enter him! This is his second stakes win and the other one was on dirt.

Not bad finally but not much purse money. Sent out 4 and all brought home money.

Win
[color=red]Angelic Theory in an OA ,3/f, 21pts from ch.

Show
[color=red]High Wire Dancing in a 16f, OA for older mares, now I see she likes distance!

4ths
[color=red]Aisle Light (giants causeway) in an Nw-2, 2/f

5th
[color=blue]Risen Star (rumor has it) in an OA sprint for 2yo. The only boy in my bunch today

I sent out two, brought home 3…and they all 3 won.

I claimed 2YO [color=blue]Bear Witness simply because I now own his sire, and have none of his offspring.  In addition, his dam is pretty impressive herself - champion, stakes winner, multi-stakes placed, from a gold dam…  Even though he won his race today, he hasn’t even hit his minimum adult height (he’s a tiny 14.3hh).  I’m happy to give him a bit more time to grow up, then see what we can do with him.

2YO [color=blue]Nazgul (Jazz It Up) won his NW2, breaking his maiden finally.  Fingers crossed that we can repeat this next time, too.

And best of all, our 2YO [color=blue]Ch. Ducati (Magic Cross) won his SECOND G1, beating out two horses I considered not running him against - Batista and Nightwatchman - and right after realizing how low his NE is.  Super, super proud of my boy.  He’s headed to the farm to rest up for his next big thing.  He will definitely be aiming for the Breeder’s Cup (he will be my first ever entry!), but will likely hit up a race between now & then as well.

Congrats.

Nightfight colts, Batista and Nightwatchman, finished 2nd and 3rd in the Furturity Stakes.  We’ll be headed for the third leg of the 2yo triple next.

Deep Of The Night (Nightfight), however, won the Matron Stakes against TOUGH competition.  Stable mate Irish Star (Irish River) finished 3rd.

Our other notible was Workitforthemoney (As You Wish) who won his first race in an OA.
