8/20

Not a great day, but not bad.

Ramses (King David) broke his maiden. Whoo!
Amazonian Spirit (Lasting Spirit) won his NW3.
Joey the Giant (Giant’s Causeway) was an uninspiring 6th.
Initforthelonghaul (Ring of Fire) continues to impress.  She finished 2nd against the boys in the Gr. 1 Beach Shore Stakes.  Lonely Victor (Dark Continent) was a disappointing 6th.

Not a good week for the 3yos and up
Notachanceinheck ran 5th in his OA.  Stablemate This I Believe finished 3rd in the same race.
O Say Can You See was 5th in her starter.  At least she wasn’t dead last.
Dodge the Draft was overfaced in her stakes, finishing 12th. Not dead last, but 2nd to last.
Higher Agenda seems suited to shorter distances, finishing 6th over fences in the Gr. 2 Del Mar Handicap.

Only one horse off the board, so can’t complain too much.

2yos:
[color=red]Brighid (Highland Laird) was 2nd in her NW2.

[color=blue]Buenos Aires (Nightfight) was 4th in his NW3.

3yo+:
[color=red]SpectacularDiamond was 3rd in the Chairman’s Club Plate.

[color=red]Darkest Secret was 8th in the Chipping Norton Stakes.

One big highlight of the day! Most of my crew kinda bombed. Highlights only (out of 13 runners):

2yo’s
[color=red]As You See (As You Wish) was 3rd/6 in her NW3.
[color=blue]Personable Joe (A.P. Indy) was 3rd/9 in his NW3.

[color=blue]Hollywood Groove ran 2nd/6 in an Open Allowance.
[color=red]Hot Nurse won the G1 Beverly D. Stakes against a full field. She’s now won 2 stakes in a row!

Sent out 11 horses and only 2 were out of the money and by only one spot, so not too bad, a couple surprised me coming in dif than I expected with an older mare beating her younger stablemate.

We really had a bitter sweet day today.  Our racers didn’t fair as well as we would like with only 2 winners in a group of 23 but we did manage a 3rd out of our stallion [color=blue]Irish River in the Chipping Norton Stakes after a long haul to Austraila.  [color=red]I’m A Golden Girl also managed a 4th place paycheck in the 700K Beverly D. Stakes.
Our winners included [color=blue]So Slew Me in a NW3 allowance and 2yo [color=blue]Bold Memories (Boldness Shows) breaking his maiden.

Our Sweetest part of the day was watching the Grade 1 Beach Shore Stakes unfold.  We had sent out one of our own 2yo’s, While I Skip, who didn’t fire at all and finished 9th. BUT Nightfights colts [color=blue]Night Of Storms and [color=blue]Key Biscuit finished 1st and 3rd.  Night Of Storms is now a MSW! Congrats to Darkwood. And Key Biscuit is now a 3X stakes placer with a stakes win as well.  Congrats Lochiedo.

Really good day! :slight_smile:

2yo [color=red]Diamond Ring (Ring of Fire) showed some determination, winning her NW2 and registering her 2nd win.

[color=green]Lady’s Man won his NW3.

[color=green]Prestidigitation was stellar in his element, kicking home and winning his 14f open allowance.

2yo [color=blue]Khozaam (Diplomat) was 3rd in his maiden, his first start.

[color=red]I Dreamed A Dream was 2nd in her NW2.

[color=red]Invisible Touch won her NW2.

AWESOME day for semiahmoo!

2yo
Boundless Train (Strike it Rich) ran 6th. think she’s a late bloomer

Run Jenny Run (Whats Your Point) ran 3rd in his 2yo allowance, happy with that, his first time on the board.

Victorina (A.P. Indy) won her 2yo allowance. She’s consistently run well on the turf, may be time for a stakes race

3yo+
Fruitloop was a highlight Winning his steeplechase allowance. His first time over jumps, heres hoping he keeps it up!

Tobe Suave ran 6th, this guys being a real pain… Can’t figure him out

Alfalfa Sprouts was the highlight of my day winning the Del Mar Breeders’ Cup Handicap. Her first time winning anything and it was a great stakes race to win

Ace Of Hearts ran 3rd also in the Del Mar Breeders’ Cup Handicap. Also very happy with that, he’s been running so so for awhile, lets hope he keeps this up!

Brilen had our first win today…

Dixie Probe- I just leased him, so I was quite happy to see he got his confidence back and went out and won first time out in our racing silks in a NW3, good boy!

Validinksy- my 1st horse in the game seems to love going a route of ground on the dirt. She came 2nd in her 50K Allowance :slight_smile:

Congrats on your win, Brilen!
