No wins again, but some good races.

[color=red]Cathedral (my first homebred) ran in 13.5f Allowance for 4yo+ (T) and placed 3rd/8. Only three more points until she’s a champion!
[color=green]Fortunate Son ran in 8.0f Allowance for 4yo+ (D) and placed 5th/14. At least he was in the better half of the race! This was his first run for me after the mixed auction.
[color=red]She’s Gawne I’m pretty sure just doesn’t like to run. She ran in 7.5f Starter Allowance for 3yo+ (SC) and placed 7th/9. Still a maiden after 23 starts…

One of our worst days, but there were definitely highlights. “Worst” is definitely relative - I’m not unhappy.
4YO [color=red]Afterglow (x Affirmed, from our mare) won the G3 Frederick Clissold Stakes, earning her champion title - a goal I set for her before ever retiring to brood. However, if she continues to be fairly consistant, she likely will continue running next year as well. Time will tell.
3YO homebred [color=red]Lovespell (x Magic Cross) finally broke her maiden! She’s been consistant lately, as I believe we’ve finally figured out what she needs to succeed. I’m super happy about this because her sire is one of my absolute favorites, and she is my only filly from him currently.
2YO homebred [color=red]Talkofthetown (x Rumor Has It), 1/2 to Afterglow (above), won her NW2. This was her first ever start, so hooray for 2YOs that can break their maiden right off the bat!
2YO homebred [color=red]Worth A Treasure (x Worth My While) ran 3rd in her NW3. This is not at all awful, especially since it’s only her second race ever.
2YO [color=blue]Natomas (x Harvard Bound) ran 5th in his first ever start. It’s a paycheck, at least, and he’s got time.
3YO [color=blue]Starseeker (x Starz ‘n’ Stripes) ran 5th in his maiden. Sigh. Back to the drawing board…

6YO I’m Feelin’ Lucky ran dead last. She will be heading to the brood barn next spring.
2YO Mimic ran 8th/12. The boy is finicky, but the talent is there. Talk about frustrating!
