[color=red]In The Fast Lane 3/f! 14f Dirt NW-3 finished [color=red]2nd longest race she’s ever run, may be she’s a distance girl.

And 2yo [color=blue]Set It Off(Nightfight ) finished [color=blue]5th in the G-2 bash ford stakes, showing again how temperamental he can be.
Our stakes horses bombed, but we had 4 of 8 hit the board.

[color=red]Kingston Cara (War Chant 3yo) in an OA.
[color=blue]Indy Bandit (AP Indy 4yo) in a claimer. Lightly raced half-brother to WCh Subzero Justice. Might be fun to play with.
I claimed [color=blue]Lord Chancellor. He won his race and is 3 for 3 this year. I’m pretty excited to get him.
He’s got lovely bloodlines. Good luck with him!
I sent 6 out, and if not for one pony, they would have continued our top 3 only streak. However, only one pony finishing out of the top 3 in the last 3 racedays? I’ll take it! That’s a total of 18 runners, with 17 in the top 3. Abnormally, amazingly consistant! And lots of those have been stakes races - something our ponies haven’t been able to handle well in the past.
Onto the details of the day:
4YO leased mare, [color=red]Kissing Point (x Point Given) won her second race in a row, this time on turf, racking up a substantial speed factor AND a speed record. This is an especially proud accomplishment as she came to our farm as a non-winner. The accountant loves it, because she’ll be with us through February (though we may end early to avoid 2017 taxes), AND the lease was free from Kindlehope. She is more than earning her keep, and we are getting quite fond of this huge chestnut mare. It will be a sad day to see her go. She is 1/2 to The Fighting Fifty, and the only daughter of her retired dam owned by Kindlehope, so I am guessing she has a permanent home there, especially now that she’s begun to show what talent lies beneath.
2YO [color=red]Montalvo (x Point Given) broke her maiden today, after some close calls to being on the board. At least we have our own PG filly to focus on once Kissing Point returns home! I’m happy to see her starting to shape up as well - and the accountant loved her $1,000 pricetag, too.
The major highlight of the day was our 2YO colt, [color=blue]Ducati (x Magic Cross), who WON the G2 Bashford Manor Stakes, beating some really impressive juveniles (unfortunately, that includes our own colt, Fight The Twilight, who is out on lease and ran 4th). It’s too early to dare hope, but perhaps he could become a stallion candidate in the future - our other Magic Cross colt came close but never quite made it, but I hope to better campaign this boy to give him an advantage.
2YO homebred [color=blue]Whiskey Charmer (x Silver Charm) ran 2nd in a NW3, though he remains a maiden. He’s been pretty consistant so far this year, and I’m glad. He was raised as an orphan, because we lost his dam giving birth to him. He was the only foal we bred from her, and is now the only foal of hers that we still own.
Our other Kindlehope lease, [color=red]Never Doubt (x No Duplicate) ran 3rd in her maiden. After switching to steeplechasing, she has been on the board for both of her 2 starts. That’s an improvement from her previous record for sure!
2YO [color=blue]Nazgul (x Jazz It Up) is the only one off the board today, finishing a dismal 9th. He sure looks mature, and comes from a decent pedigree…but we are still trying to figure out some way to motivate this guy. Sigh.
Congratulations on your success this year!
