Nice win for [color=red]Kowhai, Jase Going to have to see what to change with Von Lich, or maybe the turf just threw him off a bit in his last race.
WINS
[color=blue]Voiceinaphotograph (National Post)won his 7.5f NW2 allowance breaking his maiden!
[color=red]Igotafeeling (Worth My While) scored another win (3 out of 4 races this year) in a 5.5f allowance for 3yo F
PLACES
[color=blue]NCh. Von Lichtenstein was second in the 9.5f Prince of Wales Stakes. Nice job to Kowhai for getting him, but I guess no American or Canadian TC winner this year
[color=blue]Dream in Color (National Post) placed in his 6f maiden for 3yo+
Also had a couple fourths with [color=blue]Double The Devil in a 9f NW2 allowance, and [color=blue]Actors Guild in the 9f Gr. 2 Lucky Cigar Stakes.
Fabulous, fabulous day for us:
Sent two out, both colts in stakes races.
3YO [color=blue]Exit Poll (x Irish River) WON his first stakes race in the G3 East Essex Stakes. He has only been entered in steeplechasing races thanks to FF’s random decision, so I’m happy to see him doing well. This is his second stakes attempt, but the other (20f) was far too great of a distance. We’ll see where this guy can go from here!
2YO [color=blue]Ducati (x Magic Cross) just secured the elusive G1 win that stumps most of my colts (including the colt by his same sire who was my closest to succeeding) - winning the G1 Nunthorpe Stakes with style. This is his second stakes win in a row, and both times he has beaten some of the 2YO names that stand out to me (Boo Radley, Gambling Fool, Fiery Foxx, etc). This boy appears to be the real deal, and I’m thrilled to have him in our ranks. If this continues, I might have to start looking into nominations - a thing I’ve avoided in the past thanks to lack of funds and believeable talent… Fingers crossed…
ETA: I just looked at his nominations tab (a page I typically avoid, see above), and apparently he’s been nominated for a majority of the major races already, presumably by his breeder - Edgewood Stud. Wow. This opens up a whole new world of possibilities. This little small-time stable’s world is spinning with the possibilities now. Oh please let this streak of luck continue!
Only one out; [color=red]Embellished finished 2nd/6 in a NW1, again her highest speed figure. Her dam is [color=red]Ch. Eternity (S), which was being sold at the recent auction by Final Furlong, and found a new home at Stillwater Farms. Of course we wanted to have her at Clicker Lab but were also bidding on Ellejolet and Cabernet, two 3yo fillies
Sent out 11 runners, had 4 wins, 1 second, 1 third, 1 fourth and 4 out of the money.
