[color=red]Raptor Romance(GDR) this filly has done so good, it was a very tight race with the top 4 all in 1/4 length bunch at the finish! In an NW-3,2yo mixed company
[color=green]Viva Las Vegas this guy won his last race a stakes, maybe he didn’t like being downgraded,lol , in an OA for 4+

[color=red]Irish Miss ran 2nd/6 in her NW2.
[color=red]Magic Lable was 2nd/6 in her NW3. We just picked this girl up for 1k from the mixed auction, so we’re super happy!
[color=red]Hot Nurse also 2nd/11 in her OA, missing the winner by 1/2 length but finishing 2-3/4 lengths in front of the next horse.
Sent 7 out, only 2 in the money. Yicks! I’ll only mention the highlights, yay for stakes ponies!
Ace Of Hearts Won the Suburban Handicap, beating Drum Major which I was pretty happy about . This is also his 6th stakes win in a row, 7th this year. Not too shabby!
Angelius (I’m Your Angel) ran 3rd in the Dwyer Stakes. Definitely happy with this, it was his 1st stakes this season
Not our best day, but a couple high points. (The ponies were either really good or really awful.)
Highlights:
Black Cherry (High Chances) won his 3rd Stakes win. I’ve got a good feeling about this boy and I’m hoping to get him stud-qualified.
Light of Ceres was the stunner today because not only did she actually win, but she won a Gr. 1 My best guess is that she’s a late bloomer and that the rest of this season will hopefully be an improvement over her last two seasons.
The other 10? I don’t want to talk about them.
Two stakes runners out.
[color=red]Hello Goodbye ran in 9.5f Gr. 2 Washington Park Handicap for 3yo+ and placed 3rd/10. I’m so excited for her! This makes her officially stakes placed.
[color=blue]Gallant Affair had a rough time in 10.0f Gr. 1 Suburban Handicap for 3yo+, placing 7th/14. He had an extremely high SF (218), but the crowd in this race was really tough. He certainly tried his hardest, and that’s all I can ask for. He’ll be running in an allowance next to pick his confidence back up.
Sent out 11 runners, had 4 wins, 1 seconds and 6 out of the money.
Winners
[color=red]Sand Dune (2yo, Giant’s Causeway) in an NW2 at Saratoga.
[color=red]Ch. Princess Kaiulani (4yo, Worth the Wait) in an OA at Arlington.
[color=blue]GCh. In The Navy (5yo, Man O’War) in the G1 International Stakes in England. This is his 4th SW in his last 5 starts, including 3rd G1W. He is 2 SW away from qualifying as a Stallion for next year.
[color=blue]GCh. Cup O’ Tea (5yo, Stagehand) in the G1 Lightning Stakes in Australia. This is his 3rd SW this year, including 2 G1W. He just needs one SW to qualify as a Stallion for next year.
[color=red]Sand Dune & [color=blue]GCh. In The Navy are both out of [color=red]Dayatthebeach.
[color=red]Ch. Princess Kaiulani & [color=blue]GCh. Cup O’ Tea are both out of [color=red]Whistlin’ Dixie.

Only one out.
[color=red]Your Chant finished 4th/11 in an open allowance on turf. She might prefer dirt.
Pretty good day - only one horse off the board.
Wins:
[color=red]Lost Opportunity (High Chances) in a NW2. Hoping after two wins at 10+ furlongs we’ve found her niche.
[color=red]Indy’s Moment (2yo, A.P. Indy) in a maiden.
[color=blue]Whatchagonnado (Giant’s Causeway) in a NW2.
Place:
[color=red]Fool For You (2yo, Foolhardy) in her debut in a NW2.
Shows:
[color=red]Bright Naiad (Irish River) in an OA.
[color=red]Etched In Gold (Government Secret) in the John C. Mabes Handicap.
She’s out of the Sunset Beach line, which we here at Cricket Hill have long adored and…er…hoarded. Just a really solid line, I’ve always thought. So I’m super psyched to hear we may soon have a stud from that line. It seems like Fleet Wind (a son of Red Sand by Red Wind) is close to become studified too.
Whoo to the Lost Opportunity win, too!
Drum Major ran a second in the Suburban when he ran 8th last year - ill take it 119 to go to FFCHification!
Pretty good day here, all but one of our eight runners in the money.
[color=blue]Peppermint Cream won his OA.
[color=blue]Baringa 2nd in the Grade 1 Irish Grand National
[color=red]Golden Spirit 2nd in her NW1
[color=blue]Archaeopteryx 2nd in his NW3
[color=blue]Quarren 3rd in the Grade 1 International Stakes
[color=red]Blaze of the Soul 3rd in her NW3
[color=blue]Crystal Wizard 4th in the Grade 2 Dwyer Stakes
We had another fantastic day (though the last two race days - with one horse each running - were not stellar):
First, the wins:
2YO homebred [color=red]Coquette (x Bellagio) won a NW3, after her stakes place finish last time out. I’d hoped to aim her at a stakes race, but didn’t see anything suitable at the time - hopefully this win helped boost her morale for her next stakes start.
3YO [color=red]Ciao Bella (x Alley Cat, born at our farm) FINALLY broke her maiden in a NW1. Not only did she win, but she blew it out of the water, earning a speed factor of 253 and a speed record. Holy cow. I was beginning to think her dam (who was HOTY and ICh. titled) just wasn’t going to pass her gifts on to her…but now that we’ve come to agreements on equipment and she’s gotten to spend lots of alone time with her jockey, we are happily proven wrong. I’m very, very excited to see what this girl can do.
Places:
2YO [color=blue]Laudri (x Point Given) ran 2nd in his NW2. He still remains a maiden, but is on the board 50% of the time. I’m still trying to figure out what makes this boy tick.
4YO [color=blue]Ch. Triomphe ran 2nd in the G1 International Stakes in England, behind In The Navy. He was only beaten by a nose, and still beat out lots of other talented boys and girls. I would love for him to find his feet and become the first Ivy Creek raced stallion - but that’s a distant dream. I’m proud of what this fellow is becoming, though. Very proud.
There were no shows.
Fourths:
3YO [color=blue]Cuchulain (x Irish River) ran 4th in his NW2, but earned a good speed factor for his efforts. We’ll keep trying to figure this boy out.
4YO [color=red]Afterglow (x Affirmed, out of our now-retired gold-rated broodmare) has just come off of a long rest at the boarding farm in Australia, and due to lack of ideal races, was the only filly entered into the G1 Lightning Stakes. For her to finish 4th speaks volumes, in my opinion, as she ran against several MSW boys chasing studship. She likely won’t run against them again (I don’t think she’s up to a fuller field at that level), but it was a nice experiment to help get her prepped for a better fitted race.
