6/5

Pretty good day. 5 out for two wins, a second, a third and a fourth.

[color=red]Naivety (2yo Stressed) made a winning debut in her NW1.

[color=red]Bound For Glory (2yo Harvard Bound) also made a winning debut in her maiden.

[color=blue]Northern Officer (AP Indy 3yo) 2nd in his NW3.

[color=blue]Quarren (Sadlers Wells 4yo) 3rd in the Coronation Cup. He became the first GB raced NCh

[color=blue]The Great Pumpkin (2yo Boldness Shows) 4th in his maiden.

Slighly better day today.

8(2)-1-1(1)-2-1 $63,700

WIN:
[color=red]Sent to the Devil (3yo, TakeMeToHollywood) finally broke her maiden in a NW1. She’s 7-1-1-2-1 this year so we’re hoping she’s learned what this racing thing is about.

PLACE:
[color=blue]Lord Nelson (5yo, Cigar) in the Jefferson Cup.

SHOWS:
[color=red]Elusive Heart (2yo, As You Wish) in a maiden.

[color=blue]Off the Charts (2yo, Take Me Away) in a maiden.

FOURTH:
Claimed [color=red]Ellenai (2yo, What’s Your Point) in her race for $25k. Her big sister by Octagonal is stakes placed so we’re hoping she’s got some talent.

We had a great day! Sent out 4 and 3 hit the board; only the stakes gamble bombed which we’re fine with.

[color=blue]Nindalf (3yo, Hope to Succeed) won his OA by 3-1/4 lengths. He’s 5-1-1-0 from 11 starts this year.
[color=blue]Devil’s Advocate (3yo, Crystal Rainbow) won his OA.

[color=blue]Dandywine (3yo, Highland Bandit) ran 2nd/6 in a Maiden. He’s 0-3-2-2 from 11 starts this year. One day we’ll break that maiden!

Also-ran: [color=green]Candied Roses (3yo, What’s Your Point) was 8th/10 in the G3 Jefferson Cup. He’s been sent home.

Half of our 12 runners hit the board today (+2 5th’s).

12(10)-1(1)-2(2)-2(1)-1(1) $443,000

Win
[color=blue]N.Ch. First Born Son, (4yo, ICh. Ring of Fire x What’s That About) 1/10 in the G1 Coronation Cup in England. His 3rd consecutive G1W. Became an N.Ch with this win.

Seconds
[color=red]Ch. American Dance, (4yo, Almost Home x Northern Sister) 2/10 in the G1 Queen Elizabeth II Stakes in England.
[color=red]Ch. Flight of Silk, (3yo, GCh. Major’s Flight x Flaming Silk) 2/10 in the G1 Acorn Stakes at Belmont.

Thirds
[color=red]Ch. Saucy Magician, (3yo, ICh. Magic Glory x Kinda Sassy) 3/10 in the G1 Acorn Stakes at Belmont.
[color=blue]Ch. Prestige, (5yo, Cross Roads x Magician’s Mystery) 3/6 in a Claimer at Calder. His sale price has been reduced to $20k.

Fourth
[color=blue]Hogsmeade, (3yo, ICh. Highland Magic x Blarneystone Lane) 4/10 in the G3 Jefferson Cup at Churchill Downs.

Not too bad today

14(4)-4-1-2(2)-0

The ones I can be bothered writing about were

[color=blue]Peppermint Cream 4yo (Rahy) getting 3rd in the Gr.1 Manhattan Handicap, he was long behind the winner though. Dirt next time

[color=blue]Back To December 3yo (My Lucky Day) was also 3rd but in the Gr.1 Queen Elizabeth II Stakes, not too far behind Black Cherry, who is just unstoppable!

We have spent more than we earned, but there are some good news.

Recently claimed 3yo filly [color=red]Gentle Words finally broke her maiden, she won a starter allowance by 6 3/4 lengths.

3yo [color=red]Athykea was 2nd/14 in a maiden with track record (congrats, Mayfair!). [color=green]Montechristo was 5th/14 in this race and he’s now gelded.

[color=red]She’s Outlawed was 6th/10 in Gr. 1 Acorn Stakes. At the age of three she doesn’t seem to be at stakes level anymore.

4yo [color=red]Cabernet was 7th/8 in an open allowance and she’s coming back from England after five races there.

We claimed 2yo filly [color=red]Tizzy Fit by Tiznow, out of gold ranked Ch. Back For More (by Awesome Again). We haven’t been very lucky with horses by Tiznow, but this filly has three generations of gold ranked mares and I really like her damsire. She was 3rd/6 in the claimer.

AWESOME day, sent 9 out, 5 wins and all were in the money. My 2yo’s have been running very well

Wins
[color=red]Excessive Passion (2yo, Crystal Rainbow) won her second ever start
[color=blue]Silent Victor (2yo, V for Victory) won his second ever start as well
[color=red]Jenny’s Ballad (3yo, Cryptic Ballad) won her second run in a row, about time she got her butt in gear!
[color=red]Perfect Timing (5yo, A.P. Indy) won an open allowance, we tried her on a longer distance and she loved it
[color=red]Alluring Girl (3yo, Highland Bandit) FINALLY broke her maiden winning a SC run. I’m glad jumps did the trick!

Places
[color=red]Bea Godsall (3yo, Highland Magic) in a NW3 allowance, we tried an equipment change
[color=blue]Null and Void (3yo, Void) in a NW2 allowance

[color=blue]Fruitloop and [color=blue]Deep Blue Sea ran 4th and 5th in the Morningstar Stakes

Not spectacular.  Life has been keeping me busy, so training has been a bit lacking.

Highlight of the day was Black Cherry’s win in the Gr. 1 Queen Elizabeth stakes, making him High Chances’ second ICh. foal.

Ask Directions won her first start over jumps, so I think we made the right decision there.

Forbidden City won her OA. Will probably run her until the end of the season.

Life Line and After the Storm, both by Long Live the King, were 2nd in their respective allowances.

Flannel Pajamas, Rahmbunctious, Spooked, and Reprise were 3rd in allowances.

Higher Agenda continues to chug along as a 5yo, and finished 3rd in her Gr. 3

Congratulations on claiming this filly. We had also put in a claim for her as we own her dam and we also own one of her progeny, 2013 Kentucky Derby winner [color=blue]Ch. Last For More, who is a MSW, MG1W and a millionaire. If you ever decide to sell [color=red]Tizzy Fit, please can we have first refusal.

Not a bad day, with a surprising but good turn of events…

7(4) - 1(1) -2(1) - 1(1) - 2(1)

WINS

[color=blue]Bear Witness (3yo, Witness) won his last race out after some training with us (we claimed him last September). On a whim, based on his speed factor and the preferences his sire tends to throw, I entered him in his first stakes race, the G1 Manhattan Handicap. I never expected a WIN! He also earned a speed record. He’s the first offspring of his sire, my first stallion, that I’ve gotten to run.

PLACES

[color=blue]Copycat (2yo, Mr. Prospective) was 2nd in his NW3. First time on the board in 2 starts.

[color=blue]Ch. Fight The Twilight (3yo, Nightfight) was 2nd in the G1 Manhattan Handicap, behind his stablemate. I try to never enter 2 horses in the same race, but I entered him in after Bear Witness because I really thought BW would trail the field. Whoops.

SHOWS

[color=blue]Ch. Exit Poll (4yo, Irish River) was 3rd in the ungraded Northumberland Plate Handicap. Wins would be better as he is trying for studhood someday, but at least he always brings a good check.

FOURTHS

[color=red]Hawaiian Ice (5yo, Bold Ruler) was 4th in her OA. Still plugging away before retirement.

[color=blue]Ch. Allinvain (4yo, Worth My While) was 4th in the G1 Queen Elizabeth II Stakes against tough competition.

ALSO RANS

Good Classics (2yo, I’m A Classic) was 5th in her NW2 in typical 2yo fashion.
